When I was living in Thailand, I would shower in both the morning and evening, and sometimes even take another shower during the day. Before I moved to Thailand, I was working in Australia, and always showered before work in the morning. Now, I am once again living in Australia, but I'm retired, and I shower in the evening, I believe it helps me sleep better. So when do you like to shower? Please share, not the shower, just the time!!

Hello mippen2006, I also live in Australia, In the tropical North of Queensland. Since the climate is usually humid and hot even in the winter days, I usually shower on both occassions , I guess its been a habit and I agree It does help you get a goodnight sleep:)

Where are you now NNRFOLEY, maybe we could change places. I really don't want to be here, but the government insists that I "DO" two years before my pension becomes portable.

Mosy people living in the tropics shower twice a day, and even more if they have to go out. Thanks for your response, NNRFOLEY, I wish I were there now instead of cold old Victoria.

Yes I know what you mean, we used to live there in Victoria in the western suburbs and it could get really really cold, you can even get 4 seasons in one day even in summer. I was telling my husband last night how strange it is that soon it will be springtime and I didnt even feel its winter:). But I do miss Melbourne (Victoria) I think its the best place in Australia.

Personally, I normally enjoy showering more at night because then I feel really clean and ready for bed, but during the week sometimes I just wanna smell really pretty so i take one right before I go to work. Mostly a nighttime shower girl though lol.

lol! Oh good lord no, definitely not for anyone at work. I am happily married lol. I guess I just feel better about myself and it puts me in a really great mood when I smell really nice. Just makes me feel really feminine I guess!

I like to shower in the morning as it helps to make me fresh for the day. My sleeping habits are not very good, so rarely I feel very active after I wake up. Taking shower prepares me then.
I have strong cough problems so usually no shower i or after evening except when it is manageable.

cool. I stayed in a place where it was really hot. So i showered whenever i woke up and about to go to work. Then after work, around 4 in the afternoon i would relax myself in a tub, then i shower again in the evening before i went to sleep. That would be three times a day, sometimes i reached four times when it is really hot, and my body is sweating.

Hi deod, is that short for anything, by chance? That relaxing tub in the afternoon sounds great. Sometimes, if I had to leave the house in very hot and humid conditions, I would shower four times also. Thank you for sharing.

I prefer to shower in the evening just because I think it helps me sleep better and it relaxs my body and get its ready to sleep. However, showering in the morning does help me wake up but I only do that when I forget to shower at night because I fell asleep early.

Hi Ucan, that's they way I feel too. Sometimes, but not often, I might be too tired to shower at night, so I take one the next morning. Thank you for responding.

I know what you mean, Craig, it does help remove the cobwebs, as we say. However, when the day is very hot, I do enjoy an evening shower to relax me also. Thank you for your contribution.

My mother used to scold me every time I would take a shower in the evenings. She would remind me that our body is already tired and therefore should not get wet or else we will feel aches and pains when we grow older. I think there is no harm in being more careful in taking care of our body so I would take showers in the mornings only. If I really have to clean up in the evenings, I would take a hot shower or warm bath

I must admit that's the first time I have heard that taking a shower in the eveninggives us aches and pains when we getold. I don't think it'll change my routine though. Thanks for the input silverglint.

I really prefer to shower in the evening. I don't exactly know why, but I like to go to sleep feeling refreshed.
If it's hot in here I would probably take another one in the morning as well, but still my preference goes to the evening shower. Just before going to bed.

I would like to bath in the morning. I bring water from my well and shower on my head and body at early morning. It gives me a freshness. It is a good habit. It will give us a good day also. Freshenss will give us energy also.Other people also get freshness and energy from us through early morning bath. It will give working energy to our whole body. So I prefer to shower in the morning.

Thank you for a very interesting answer, Warrior. I gather from your response, you live in a village which doesn't have town water, so you have to get water. On my first visit to Thailand, in 1988, I visited several small villages, where villagers gathered at a large well and bathed together. Thank you for responding.

I shower in the evening just because i hate going to bed feeling all dirty and etc. I don't do it in the morning because i'm not a morning person and (you can say i'm lazy but..) i would rather sleep longer in the morning than go shower.

When I worked days...I would shower at nite and set my clothes out for the morning as things were so rushed, hectic and crazy in the morning. Now that I work 2nd shift, I tend to take my showers in the morning. At nite, I may take a bath to help me sleep

Hey sid sounds like a good routine to me. You must be a pretty organized person to lay your clothes out for the next day.

I always prefer to have a shower in the morning; I have trouble starting the day without one. In the evenings I’m lucky if I have the energy to brush my teeth let alone shower!
During the summer time the showers tend to be a little more frequent throughout the day to cool down and after swimming.

That sounds like me when I was young paula. Bed time then was when I was ready to crash, no energy for that shower! Now, I have a totally different routine, and shower at night at least an hour or two before retiring. That way I almost always get a good nights sleep. Thanks for your contribution.

I prefer both. Showering in the morning make me feel fresh and wake me up to prepare my daily activities. And same with you, showering in the evening makes me sleep better, because I feel clean, good smelling, and warm..it really helps me to sleep faster. I live in Indonesia, the weather is hot and humid, so I take a shower in the morning, during the day and in the evening.. If I feel lazy, in my holiday time, or live in the cold place, or maybe already retired, I think I would prefer take a shower in the evening,,,because I can wake up at any time so morning shower not really important. I will just brush my teeth and wash my face,,then take a shower before go to bed to make me relax and have a good sleep

That was my routine when I was living in Thailand. Morning shower, shower again after going out in the hot day, and once more before retiring to bed. Now, I still get up early, but don't shower until evening. This will probably change with the weather. My showers usually increase as the weather gets hotter. Thanks for your response.
