Has anyone read about this new book by Stephen King called Under The Dome? It sounds really good and haunting (of course, what else can be expected from Mr. King :P). It doesn't get released until November 10th, but I can not wait!
It is about this Dome that just mysteriously develops over a neighborhood, trapping people inside, and no one can get. So the people "Under the Dome" are cut off from their loved ones that were away from the area and the rest of the world. A synopsis I read said that when it appeared it cut one mans hand off! Esk! Look it up for a much better synopsis at Borders or BarnesandNobles.com.

oh, I'm a Sagg too, I'm waiting (and hoping it will come out) The Cat Who Smelled Smoke, but its now 2 yrs over due and the writer isn't getting any younger -she's in like her 90's now. I'm also hoping that Anne or Todd McCaffrey will come out with a new Pern book soon

The Cat Who Could Smell Smoke...interesting. is that a book in the series where the detective works with his cat...or something like that...The Cat Who series it might be called? My mom loves those books.

I much prefer Stephen King books when they have more of a supernatural slant then a sci-fi one. Although it is my aim to buy all of his books and read them. The only problem is that when I'm in a bookstore I can never remember which books I've already got so I end up going home empty handed. I'm going to have to write them all down and keep the list in my purse.

I actually write down books that I want, and I use the list as a bookmark :) It's very handy! I never go anywhere without my book in the car with me, so I always have the list if I end up at a book store. You should try it! :)
I love Stephen King...I have a lot of his books.
Have you read Rose Madder? That was a really really good spooky supernatural book. I also really enjoyed The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I'm not sure if that one would be considered supernatural, but it defeniatly isn't sci-fi.

I've not read Rose Madder or The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, they will be the next two that I buy. I've kind of been sidetracked away from Mr King lately by the boooks that the TV series Dexter is based on. Now they are a very enjoyable and I found that I was reading them in a week, which is fast even for me.
I will definately be writing down a list of what I've got.
Who else do you enjoy reading? I've tried three of James Herbert's books but I'm still not keen, although I would try another buy him.

I already get my books really cheap, because they are all free and brand new. This is because I am a member of quite a few survey sites that reward you with vouchers so I mainly choose the Amazon ones. This means that I get most of my books, CD, DVD's and DS games from there and pay either nothing or just put a few pounds towards it. The best deal I ever got was a Nintedo DS Lite and a game and it only cost me £44 as the other £55 was in vouchers. Not bad eh?
I'll check the books you've mentioned online and see which of them I fancy reading.

That does sound a little similar. I'm not sure if it's aliens in the book or not, they don't really give a whole lot to why the dome has appeared. But I can't wait for it to come out (it comes about near my Bday!) woot woot :D

This sounds like a classic science fiction plot that was used before on the Twiligh Zone TV series of the 60's. It'll will be interesting to see what King does with it.

I can only imagine it'll be really graphic and scary :P lol I anticipate that there has to be some scary creatures inside the dome with them--that'd be classis King.

I don't know if you can get ebooks before a book is released. I'm not really interested in ebooks because I actually like having a physical novel in my hands.
