I don't know what's the best word to describe the latest Pixar movie other than cute. Although I think this movie lacks magical moments than Wall-E, I think this movie is good. The first scenes when it shows the past life of Grandma and Grandpa, where two kids meet and ending of the woman die really heartbreaking. I am sure many people cry here. An then there is Russel who has a really cute voice, gutsy, but sometimes also annoying with his innocence, which made the old man grumpy sometimes. There also the talking doga and big bird which added colors to this movie. I am not sure I like the bad guy, it seems he coming out of nowhere to the story and the transition from cute to action movie (I mean from calm movie to suddenly there's a bad guy) is not as smooth as other Pixar movie. I watched this movie in 3D, but tbh, I am quite dissapointed with the 3D. I expect wowness of 3D movies. The 3D effect only add textures of the images, but not grabbing the audience. Also, I miss the short animation movies which are regularly coming up in the start of every Pixar pictures. So, anyone watched it? How do you feel?

hi there! well i have watched it already but just here on our computer...but still i enjoy the movie! yes it is cute and i like the love story of grandma and grandpa! i like how they live happily together and how they love each other even if they don't have a child...yes it is touching when grandma passed away and how grandpa becomes so lonely...see how sweet grandpa is preserving all those memories of his wife? and still wanting to fulfill their dreams way back they are young? well with the appearance of that bad guy, didn't you notice that that man is the one that his wife idolized when they are young? and well he is really bad...hehehe but anyway even if there's some parts that's kinda confusing as a whole the movie is nice and i like it...and yes that cute boy with cute voice adds life to the mjovie and those talking dogs! hehehe... the movie is full of love and inspiration...but still have its appeal to younger audiences... i have never tried watching on 3D but i wish i could experience it...someday.

Hi ckyeara, we meet again! Yeah, the grandpa become so lonely and even avoid to meet or know people in his surroundings. Look how he don't wanna sell his house because he want to remember his wife through their house. After making it as a ride to travel, I wonder where the grandpa lives now lol. Is there any cinema which plays it in 3D? I think it's better you watch other movies in 3D, in UP it only enhance the textures of the movie, but not giving you any real sensation that the image jump out from the screen. Yeah, I notice the guy is initially the one that the couple idolized, he also become lonely and crazy during his old days, I think that's why he so obsessed pursuing something that's illegal. I think that's why the grandpa also choose to take care of the kid, cause he don't wanna be crazy like his idol. Why wasting life in dumping yourself to misery? Better continue and enjoy it every second, the most important thing I learned on this movie.

haha...maybe grandpa lives now with the boy's family! hehehe or with the institution... well what is important here is that grandpa learns to let go of the past and live for the present and he was able to realize that he can still remember his wife even without those things but just a memory in his heart... yes i guess the other man become obsessed with his inventions and discoveries that leads him to being that bad...so its really not good to be obsessed on anything! with 3D, i think its also more expensive and i think the better movie to watch in 3D are action films...like transformers...something like that.

That's the misery of being lonely isn't it? In his younger days, the man was the innovator but when he's old he's obsessed in something evil. Meanwhile the grandpa luckily meet a person that keeps him sane. I don't think if he didn't meet the boy, he will be sane, he will just stay at his home during the journey to the place which his wife dreamed on. I think maybe there's other movie that might worth your money to watch it in 3D later this year. When I watched Up, instead of playing short animated movie like they usually do, they playing trailer for fall and Christmas movie which all available in 3D. They played a Disney movie that directed by Robert Zemeckis. I saw the movie graphic is very similar to his last movies, Beowulf, but with child friendly story like The Polar Express. It will came out in December. Also, there's a James Cameron long-awaited new movie called Avatar which will be released also in December.

Oh, there is PSP game for Up? You should watch it with your kids! Although I think some parts maybe too scary for kids, like for example when the scary dogs chasing the grandpa and kid, it's very funny and hillariousm and like all pixar movies, it teach kids values in their life in a subtle way. Thanks for the response!

I think the movie was awesome!! The Carl and Ellie scenes were quite touching. Russell was funny and adorable, though I kinda hated him for spilling the beans. He's so cute when he's whining! Actually the bad guy didn't really come out of nowhere. If you remember from the story of Carl and Ellie, that guy was the famous explorer who was disgraced because experts said that the skeleton of the bird (that is, a bird of Kevin's specie) was a fake, therefore he left and vowed never to return until he can bring back the bird alive. To be honest, I felt a little bad for him, because he didn't really deserve to be discredited like that, but I guess his desperation to prove himself drove him to evil and subsequently to his ruin. My favorite character would have to be Doug. He is just adorable, especially when he told Carl "I hid under the porch because I love you!"
