Hi friends,
It was not good to watch that program, a lady she does not have hands and using her legs to do all the works. She is making food with feet, combing hair with feet, stitching her old cloths with feet (I saw she put the thread in the needle by her feet), and making firewood for preparing food etc. This lady lost her parents and stays alone. I am really sad and at the same time surprised to watch her activities. She is sending a strong message to use, nothing is impossible.
Have you seen any person who is taking their disabilities as a challenge?

Oh my God.. that is really sad for that lady with her disability. And staying alone is some more difficult as nobody to help her.But it is still great that she uses legs for all her works and she is taking care of herself for all works even putting the thread in needle. That is really great.Yes, She send a strong message that nothing is impossible.
In my life I seen disabled peoples during my walk on road and as well as in journey. Other than that in real life, My grandmas elder sister has some probs with her left leg, back and throat(especially tongue). Her left leg is nearly paralysed nowadays. While eating she cannot bite the food as we do. because her tongue has very less moment. I heard that nowadays she is not eating well as she couldn't. Too bad that she lived the same for last 65 years.
in taking about one incident happened to me, My leg was fractured during a wrestling match last year and my doctors told i would never get up for next 6 months. but i walked in the third month and in the sixth month end, i won a tough competitor too.
I always believe that if we are failing, then, we are the reasons.
I had the confident with me during my knee injury, as i could move my leg. But I am not sure about my confident if i am leaved to a situation like the lady you mentioned.
Flexibility too needed in using our legs for other works. Couldn't imagine how it will be if i am in that situation.
Its really great of the lady you mentioned.
She is really "Height of Confidence".
It is so easy for anyone to talk that handicapped peoples must find out their talents and exploit their talents. But people who talks never knew about the pains and struggles faced by disabled peoples. They must survive in both daily life and inside their minds. But if one has the willing and confidence to survive, then there is no problem.
Have a great time!

Hi Raghul,
Yes she is really great. She is staying alone and fighting with her life alone. TV people clearly showed how she is putting the thread in the needle (Hand needle). I feel difficulty with my hands to do the same. When the camera is close, we feel that she is doing with her hands, that much speed is there, she must be used with the same long time.
I am sorry to listen about your grandma’s sister and your fracture. Will power is really a matter when we face difficulties and this lady is really an inspiration to others.
Thanks for the participation.
Have a Nice day.

What a resourceful and brave person she is! Yesterday I was on my way to my father's house and saw a man that was riding a bicycle but he had only 1 leg. His crutches where lying across the handlebars and he was peddling with the only foot he had. I thought that was great, he wasn't letting his disability beat him down!

Hi Sree!
On the surface, we come across with such a person, it looks very odd to us, because we are not used to see such disable persons. However, a man is bundle of 'immense energies and potential' that if s/he is given a chance to survice, s/he will 'survice' even with disabilities. I remember having seen once in a TV programme that a man used to paint with his feet, that too when he was not disabled. Disability in a person, brings out his/her best from inside and God gives strength to survive.

Hi Deepak,
It means we can also do wonders, is it. Here it is the case of survival; she should do all the activities without the help of anybody even if she doesn't have hands. I entirely agree with your statement, ‘disability in a person brings out his/her best inside’. Yes, God has given special ability to disabled persons.
Thanks for the participation.
Have a great weekend, enjoy holidays.

Hi Sreee
Well, u r right. I think i watch that program as well, as sure its too brave of her to all this and manager her life without help of any one else.
Trust me whenever Allah gave u some problem/disability, same time he gave you some thing extra, some thing special, which one can capitalize. and trust me more that that disable/special person, its hand of his/her family to groom it, to support it, to give them confidence they need and want.
If as a society we should treat them equal and boost their moral, i am sure we can have such person doing more impossible things.
Take care

It is sad that she doesn't have arms, lives alone and lost both her parents. On the other hand, it is wonderful that she seems to be living a full and productive life by adapting and using the tools that she has (her feet). I think it is inspiring to see people overcome adversity and use their own unique skills to succeed. It makes me realize just how blessed I am in my life, and it also makes me want to do better.

Hi purplealabaster,
She is an inspiration to all of us and we can proud on the blessings we have and at the same time we can think for a moment, do we utilize the blessings. Being a healthy individual people choose to beg on the name of Man God. I was angry on one young healthy man came to my home and asked money for Baba (Man God). I have respect on those people but I can’t agree the people are taking advantage on them and begging money and don’t want to do any work.
Congratulations for crossing 100 marks.
Thank you very much for your participation.
Have a great time.

Yes, I think we should be proud of all of the things we are blessed with in our lives, and we should utilize our blessings and talents to the best of our ability. We should also learn and be inspired by other people.
Thanks for the congratulations on getting to the 100 mark. It took a while, but I finally made it! Yay!

Yeah, i saw one on the tv too, a Filipino American woman who does not have hands, but drives a car with feet, and is a pilot..She also combs her hair with her feet.
She is the first Armless Person In The World To Pilot An Aircraft Using Only Her Feet, i think her name is Jessica Cox..Her mother trained when she was little to use her feet because she born like that, with no hands..I admired her for being strong, and for taking the challenge to be a pilot even though she does not have hands..I admire for being strong, it's hard to be a pilot, but she did it even with her disability.

Hi cuttyrish,
Thank you so much for sharing this inspirational story. I can't believe it….. It is really amazing. No hands and become a pilot…. I really salute her and her mother. Definitely her mother is behind her for achievement.
Once again thanks you.
Have a wonderful day to you.

Yeah Sreekala, nothing is impossible as you have said as according to your story about the woman mentioned. Just imagine how much time she has spent on practicing how to manipulate her toes before she could do it skillfully. I think that is a good program. It could encourage people, normal or handicapped, to be more confident in life when encountering much difficulty
I always pay high respect to this type of disable people. They could survive on their own ability through perseverance and industry instead of depending on others for assistance. In many cases thought they are disabled physically in certain aspects, they are still normal mentally as ordinary people
There is a group of disabled artists. They either use their foot or mouth to do their painting. It’s really amazing and touching to see their masterpieces which are so wonderful. Without knowing this before we would never believe that they were done by the artists without normal limbs at all. I appreciate their spirit very much as they still never give up, and could continue to overcome their difficulty by using mouth as a means of painting.
Happy posting and take care!

Hi dear,
She must be used the same since the childhood and now she is able to do the whole work without anybody’s assistance. She deserved the appreciation for treating the life as a challenge. I am really proud on her.
Thanks for sharing about the art works of physically challenged people.
You too take care dear, have a nice day.

I also seen it on cable channel somewhere part of a news. I admire that lady. She don’t take her disability as hindrance to live in this world. For her even she have no hands , until she is breathing she have purpose , she have role to be part here. I don’t have the feeling of pity for her, do you know I am proud of her. She is fighting for everything. At the same time I was ashame of myself, because sometimes I am too lazy. Even my hands are complete I do not want to do the things I have to do, but she eventhough she is not oblige she do her part. I don’t remember if she is the same with the one who drives using her feet and even feed her baby using her feet. This kind of person are really a fighter. They already accepted their situation but they do not want their disability to stop them being a human. We should admire that kind of person. They are the living example that God helps those who help themselves.

Thank you very much for the participation.
Have a nice day.

yes i have seen something like that shown here too. those kind of people are really great, coping with everything with what they have. they are even more independent than other 'normal' people. they have not given up even with their circumstances.

My heart melt at these sights but on the other hand my brain tells me to appreciate such people instead of simply sympathizing on them. I have met many people with physical/mental disabilities and i'm amazed at the level of enthusiam and positive attitude they carry.
It makes me wonder "Am i utilizing my abilities properly?" and i end up saying "Thank God for what i'm today."

Its very unfortunate that this lady has no hands, but she has managed to change that to her advantage! Look at it positively; what she can do we can't, and thats a gift she has. True, a woman would feel threatened without her hands to protect her, but she must have won enough friends through her deeds to feel protected from such predators. It is disheartening to see, but what she's done is change her adversity to her strength.

Hi stephcjh,
I think God has given special abilities to these people to cope with the situation. She is smiling always and beautifully covered her shoulders with a shawl. She is active like a normal person, doing all her works like, cooking, sweeping, combing hair etc.
Thanks for the participation.
Have a nice day.

no not disheartening, it should give you pleasure to know she is overcoming her disability and living life to the fullest. I m in a retirement home and some here are doing wonders considering they have real disabilities. one has parkinsons diease and her hands shake a lot but she always smiles and say s hi, and she dresses herself in stylish clothes and partakes in all the activities as if she hadnt a problem in the world. she is happy even if she shakes like a leaf at times, and finds it hard to eat at times, she doesnt let it ruin her life. one man is in a wheelchaIr and he writes music and sings and plays a guitar, he doesnt feel any different than us who can walk on our own two feet. I find much courage from their examples and applaud them for their courage. I cannot lift my left arm as I have a shoulder joint replacement but it doesnt keep me from typing my responses here and doing mylotting.

Hi Hatley,
How are you, you were not in mylot for long time. I am happy to see you again.
Yes dear I am happy to see her activities but at the same time I felt sad on her disabilities. She holds the bucket in her mouth to bring the water, she sweep the yard with foot, she cuts the firewood .. really amazing.
I think the disabled persons have their own talent to manage their works.
I am sorry to hear your problem but happy to know that you can do whatever you want. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great time.

I’ve seen a lady in a similar situation in a coffee shop. She sat down, ordered some food and then proceeded to slip her shoes off and use her feet as hands, it was amazing! I admire people who refuse to let disabilities stop them from living normal lives.
We have a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in Australia at the moment that is blind. He is an athlete and is now taking the dance challenge. He is incredible.

I have seen a program about a person like that before, she used her feet to do everything, even take care of her baby. I think it is amazing and a real inspiration, just because you have a disability doesnt mean you cant lead a normal life to some extent. Good for her i say, she must be proud of what she had accomplished.

Hi polo_princess,
Taking care of baby too; really amazing. This lady is unmarried and in her middle age. Both ladies are proving that disabilities never be a hindrance to lead a normal life. I am saluting both of them.
Thank you very much for the participation.
