You are stranded on a desert island, which 3 items would you want with you?

I have asked my friends this question and a whole host of answers were given such as mobile phone, ipod and even male stripper! For me I would want matches/lighter to make a fire. Using two sticks looks too difficult! Second thing is my wife...for obvious reasons! And finally I would want a good book. I can not be far from something to read. What three things would you want to have with you?

Fresh drinking water,for the obvious reasons .
Fresh fruit tree's so that we would not go hungry,last but not least ,My husband.I think ,I would already have the lighter,because I always have my cigs. on me .Well if that's four ,I will have to rethink this whole question.These are the things that come to mind without putting to much thought into it. No one expects to get stranded.

Ok if you had to choose between the cigs and husband which would it be??!! I wouldnt mind be stranded for a week or so, nice peace and quiet. Any longer and might be struggling. thanks for comment

its a difficult question to answer isnt it? You would really need so many things I thin to survive as most of us have no special 'survival' skills. Also you would want some form of entertainment to stop your mind going crazy! thanks for comment

what else could you possibly need! Why not go for a gallon of rum just incase the rescue takes a while. haha. thanks for the comment

Its a pretty difficult question. I would only want one thing a helicopter to get out. There should be some way I could land and go out. In case I ve to be stranded I would ask for 1) a home with a/c, kitchen, heater, 2) wife and 3) internet connection. Rule 1 is one object I guess.

That sounds a bit scary. I haven't thought about it. If it happens, I would bring a lighter, a knife and a my favorite book. I think that's all I need to survive.
