I believe what is so appealing about the Harry Potter series is the plot- I mean, you don't have an everyday boy attend a wizardry school! JK Rowling's imagination and vivid description can help us all step into Harry's WORLD. We are fascinated when Harry goes through a wall to climb around the Hogwarts Express, talking and moving pictures are just ridiculous, these things are just never heard of in real life. I think readers want to take a break from reality and step into Harry's magical world- although it is only fiction.

Exactly, there is so much good stuff going on in the Harry Potter series that is absolutely attention grabbing. Who can stay away from a good plot that has some serious potential.

However old you get in your life, you would always like to go back to childhood, like to have nice friends and like to see the things come true that you imagined in your wildest dreams only. HP stories take us to our childhood, bring out the imaginative, fantasy lover kid from our insides, make us dream to have a wand or fly on a broom. We start feeling an oneness with the characters, with the situations and problems. That's why we like HP and the stories so much. Believe me, as a kid I always wanted to hit Vol-,Oops 'You-Know-Who' I mean, with my cricket bat. And these days I madly wish if, seeing my boss coming near to my chair, I could say "Expecto Patronum"!!!! :P :P :P

I think the success of Harry Potter is because of its imaginary world... everyone who likes fairy tales in his childhood he must like Harry Potter...

I think it allows the imagination to run wild. The inner child comes out of people. Allowing your imagination to wonder, and open to this magical world. Harry Potter starts as a simple kid in the normal world to find that he is part of something a lot less simple. I think it has a lot to do with a world where laws and rules don't apply. Its a great release from reality. J.k. rowling did a wonderful job.

One of the reasons for the success of Harry Potter is that J.K.Rowling made us believe in a world, co-existing with ours, which is full of magic. One also cannot deny the writing skill and talent of the writer. It is not everyday a book comes up which is liked by everybody irrespective of any age group. My grandparents love those books as much I do. Most of all Harry is such a common boy and people can really relate to him. His pain, his suffering, his first love, it is all there with absolute perfection. Harry is in a world we have all, at some of point of time, wanted to be in.
