Pedicures. Can't afford them? Try doing it at home.

It's getting to be that time of year again!! I usually do my own pedicures, since it seems ridiculous to pay what they charge in a salon every week. I have one of those massaging foot baths, which I love. I also have a variety of pumice stones and lotions. Like a previous poster said, I stay far away from those callous shavers with the razor blades, because no matter how careful I am I end up bleeding for days! If you soak your feet and use the pumice regularly, it does the same thing. I love bright toenail polish and sandals! It's my favorite time of the year. I'm always sad putting the sandals away after Labor Day.

wow that is expensive! I had a foot spa and a nice pedicure for only Php200 thats roughly only $4.

I too love pedicures-- Mine cost on average $30.. I take my daughter too-- she gets her nails done (both fingers and toes) and gets to soak them first... but not the hot rocks, or cuticle cutter, etc... So our total bill is around $55.. OUCH! But we do it only 1 time every other month-- In between that we take turns doing each others toes.. Its great bonding time together-- I let her pick out the color for my toes-- Usually something awful- LOL (She is 10) but I insist on picking out my fingernail color.. I pick out hers-- I usually go RED! or Blue-- she laughs at me. I love the pampering at the salons-- but love the bonding time at home! Great post!

I never go to salons for anything,so yes I do my own pedis and manis. My mother cuts my hair. I get compliments on my feet all the time,so I must be doing something right..LOL I love painting a bright color{toenails only} and painting little flowers in a contrast color for a fun effect! :)
