I really don't appreciate too my friend.. You haven't provided the details that's why I wrote that. If you would have written any error code or beep message, I would have given you more clear answer. This is not the way response should be commented. anyway Good Luck.. Hope your computer problem will be solved soon.

You should definately provide more information so that we can help you. There are some great professional techies out here in Mylot and you should give them the opportunity to help you.If your windows screen is appearing and then there is no signal then I think it is OS problem. You can reinstall it.If that does not help then you should call for professional help(except the internet providers) Best of luck

Re-load Windows seems to be a common advise.
I would just like to add that re-loading Windows without the original motherboard driver CD or the original recovery CD is not a job for the novice. Depending on the version of Windows, re-loading Windows can wipe your hard drive taking with it all your drivers for VGA, sound, USB, etc.
If you are unable to fix the PC by going back to an earlier restore point then take the PC to a professional to get it fixed.

It could be the ram memory, or a defective IDE cable or even the power supply. Usualy the condensators stop filtraiting the power as they get old and start conducting it instead.

most of the computers are branded that's why the representative that you've talked with advised to you talk to your computer's manufacturer support team.
anyway, since you've mentioned that you were able to see the Windows logo, the problem might with the boot record or one of the components of your OS.
if you have the Windows installer, boot using the installer and access the Recovery console of your OS.
once you're in the command prompty, just type 'chkdsk /r c:' without the "'" .. let it do finish doing its thing. Once finished, try to restart the computer and see if it'll solve the problem.

Why would you call the internet provider? Call the manufacturers of the components. When you say it won't boot up, do you mean it won't load up Windows or the BIOS screen? The power supply unit could be busted, give the manufacturer a call and see if they can help out.

I have no idea who manufactured the computer! Otherwise I would call them! I thought it was an internet problem!!!

I see that your problem is with Windows itself, go format your drive and install Windows again.

On booting your computer, after you see the POST screen (black background, white text, possibly a logo in the corner) start tapping the F8 key. You will be presented with "Windows Advanced Options Menu." Scroll down to "Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)" and hit Enter. If you're lucky, it'll go through the motions and reboot, getting you back to Windows. If that didn't help, get back to Windows Advanced Options Menu per above. Scroll down to "Safe Mode" and press Enter. Once in Safe Mode, hit Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Follow the directions to restore your system back to an earlier snapshot. Pick a rollback date when you know the computer was working. If that didn't help, you'll need your Windows boot CD for an in-situ repair installation. Hope this helps you.

it is not any hardware problems because you can see the microsoft page. This problem is easy to fix if you know how to re-install the os and don't mind the data on that partition lost. I have been there for couple of times.

Let's start with what you see on your screen? Where it stopped when booting?

Hi blue65packer!
Greetings!
I just wanna share some experience related to your problem. There are some cases wherein you need to check if you hard disk is working fine as well as your memory is not defective. Several cases that computers will stop from booting when those mentioned hardwares are defective so formatting might not be the best option 'coz you will still experience same problem afterwards.
I do hope these make sense and happy MyLotting...
