If you have money, you will built your own house, or buy one?

Heck, if I had the money, I would buy a mansion and build a house! I would probably prefer buying as I don't have to wait for the house to be built, but I can still customize it later. That said, I would probably want a house that no one has built yet, so I would go and build a house specifically for me. Happy mylotting!

Good question -- I would definitely customize, build, design and all exterior/interior decoration myself. Of course with help from construction company who would understand my house plan and easy to follow. Houses already built are already -- as long as you find whatever that meets your needs. Some things are not supposed to be there. Some rooms may be not be properly built. Risks are there! Be wiseful.

I guess I will use the money to purchase a built house but will prefer a new house, I could use the money for decorations and stuff.

i will definitely build my own home if i have the money. buying one already built is still a good thing. only difference is you get to live in it faster than when you build it. having a home of your own is one of the wisest investment. thank you for this discussion. ann

For sure that i will built my house, i like to see how a house start to grow, and i like to make all as i like, is a new house, not a clothes, so i think that is for all life, so i built my home; i like idea to make all with my imagination, so i will make a house as i want, as i need, as i can.

I would have someone build me my own custom house so that i can choose exactly how it will look.

If my husband and I happen to see a house where we want to live that we like, we will buy it. If we don't see one in the area we want that we like, then we will have someone build it for us, to our own specifications. It would be nice to be able to design a house exactly the way we want it.

Hi, Ice! I'd definitely build my house. There are particular things I want that are rarely found in homes builders put together. I want a large and well-equipped kitchen, a aster bedroom suite, not just a bedroom, a huge bathroom with whirlpool tub and shower separate and tons of storage space, and fireplaces in living room and bedroom. Other things are desired, too, but these are almost impossible to find as it is, and would cost a fortune! Building it is less costly, and I could do it exactly as I wish. I did this several years ago, in the Florida Keys, and it was an absolute joy! My present house is close, but not really close enough. I bought it as the builder made it, and changed very little as the economy has been a problem.

My husband and I have found a house that we want to buy, we can't afford it, but if we had enough money, we would love to buy that house. It seems like the perfect house for us, there are enough rooms, and there are a lovely balcony and a nice garden. The house is in a small town close to the sea, and my husband and I both like this place very much. On the other hand it could be really interesting to design our own house, and I have often thought about that. I started drawing houses many years ago when I was a child, and I have always found it interesting to design a place on my own.

I would like to build my own house.I would choose the color and style of the roof,the colors of the walls,the floors,and the furnitures in the rooms.I would like to have a house in a farm.I would like a place lots of plants,for fresh air.I also would like a house beside the lake.

Buying a house would be much more convenient, but if I had the time I would custom build my home. When custom building a home, I can set it to my own preference and look. I could also choose top of the line materials, appliances, and such for my home. Sometimes, it is also cheaper to custom build a home than buy one that's already built/or building! However, if I bought a house then I would have a custom built kitchen and bathrooms.
