WOW, I'm going to have to list them, then go back and count them... This will be as close to chronologically as possible.
Georgia
South Carolina
North Carolina
Virginia
Maryland
Pennsylvania
(that was while my father was in the Navy, all before I was 5 years old)
West Virginia
Ohio
Indiana
Illinois
Missouri
Kansas
Colorado
(that was all before I was 18)
Delaware
New Jersey
Connecticut
New York
Nevada
Florida
California
Utah
WOW! Almost half of them - 21 total. Now, that doesn't count layovers in airports, although some were just states that I've driven through and maybe only stopped for gas or to pee...

I have only been to two states in America. Those are California which I have visited three times and Hawaii once. In the future I would like to go to Florida and New England in the future. I know next year when I go to Vancouver in Canada I might be able to pop down to Washington State to visit Seattle.

I Think that I have been in every state except for Mississippi. I really need to get there someday. Technically I wasnt really in Utah but I was at the four corners monument (the gate anyway) so I was within spitting distance of it.

I think my sister has been in all of them, I've missed all of New England, barely touched Georgia and Illinois, never been to Florida, the Dakotas, South Carolina, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, West Virginia or Nebraska. I've actually missed most of New York too, spending nearly all the time I've been there on Long Island or in NYC. I've flown into North Carolina (does that count?) I've been to all the Western states, on the contiguous 48, Idaho & Montana we spent a nights in on either side of a trip to Yellowstone. Actually we spent a night in Idaho Falls, then the day after spending the night in Butte, Montana (after a night in the park) we drove thru the top of Idaho, and then on our way back from Washington state we drove thru Idaho some more... So, let me look at that map again.... looks like 29, if you count landing in the air plane... and just barely driving thru the states - otherwise, I guess more like 25 or 26...

I have been to 49 states. Only state I have not been to is Alaska. This summer I did a cross country trip visiting all 30 MLB ballparks and checked off 6 of the last 7 states I had not been to. We actually did a special day trip to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont to check those off our list of states been to. Thinking we will do an Alaskan cruise to get to the last state, but our first priority is a Disney cruise in Northern Europe.

I've visited almost all the states except a few of them. The ones I haven't visited that I'd really like to are Alaska, Wyoming, Indiana, South Carolina, and Hawaii.
