how often you change your toothbrush?. I will change it once in two month because mine is soft brush and becomes invalid and if i did not change, my gums will become swollen and that is the indication for me and the next day i will change it.

Hi vathsala, my sensitive gums couldn’t stand for the brushing of the hard bristle of the toothbrush. I always look for the super soft or extra soft ones when shopping in the hypermarket. It’s not easy to come across such soft bristle all the time. I usually use the local toothbrush products. They are rather cheaper in price. I could replace them with the new one thrice a month economically I usually would replace it when seeing the bristles of the old toothbrush couldn’t stand upright anymore. Yeah it’s just shoeing the goose if still using the worn out toothbrush which couldn’t serve its purpose well Happy posting

I am also facing the same problem. Very easily my gums will get swollen and even if i brush my teeth lightly, blood will come.

My dentist told me to brush the teeth thoroughly. If brushing them too lightly, we couldn’t get rid of the residua food in hiding between the slits of the teeth. He said the bristle wouldn’t hurt the gum. Only the bacteria could cause the gum to become unhealthy. It would bleed when brushing and this is totally due to the inflammation. He consoled me and said that it’s normal that brushing harder for the few first times. Yeah, because we had the unhealthy gum. He emphasized that always brushing the teeth in the correct way, and with the type of brush that suits us as well. The healthy gum without any gems harboring in the slits would never bleed. I try to brush accordingly. Really, the situation became better then. It works well and the gum won’t bleed anymore til to this day

My brush is medium so comes at least for three months or may be more, I do not keep track of it. But it is advisable to change every two months, that is what every one say.

I don't keep track of when I replace my toothbrush, I just get a new one when my the current one i'm using looks really bad. However, dentists recommend that you replace it every 3 months or so.. my toothbrush doesn't even look used when it's that old!
