MyLot is Sloooooooooooooooooooow

For me myLot is one of the slowest loading sites that I visit. It takes ages to open a discussion and when I post the comment it takes 30secs or more just for it to do so. It's not because that I have a slow internet connection since I have adsl2+ but it's annoying have to wait for so long to navigate through this site. How is the speeds for you? Are you ok with it?

I never felt myLot to be slow loading in the over two years that I have been here. I have however, on occasion noticed that it was slower for a little bit sometimes. I take it that maybe they are doing some sort of maintenance or something because after a few minutes it's back to its normal speed.
It never took 30 seconds to load for me.

A bit after I responded to your discussion, I got the same problem. Everything was very slow and not even working properly - I lost a few discussions and even got to a tab where the discussion part was blank and I only got the area to enter my comment and a date saying that the discussion had been started 2010 years ago.
It was only after posting the comment that I was able to - after over a minute - to see in which discussion I was posting.
Something was not working well in mylot for me last night LOL

I must admit that it is not as slow as it was when I posted this discussion, perhaps it's back to normal now.

Mylot is a bit slow when I loading the pages sometimes but I won't say it is the slowest. They have been upgrading a lot the past few days so hopefully its one the things they are trying to fix

So that's why mylot is slow today.. I didn't know they were upgrading the site. But it's kinda boring

They ahve been working on the site. They are improving it so i don't mind much.

Earlier when I was trying to post a comment the site said we are doing maintance. It came back up in a few minutes but I think it will be ok,seems fast again now.

Oh, I didn't see that message but perhaps there were still things that were messing up after maintenace or something messed up during maintenace that cause some slowdowns among other things for me.

I don't know what is going on with this site because I wrote something to you and then I went to post it and it came back to me empty. Besides being so slow I have found weird things happening since last night. Like the money going down and then going up while I was responding to discussions. Plus having to rewrite two of my discussions like it just happened with this one. Its the slowest site that I go too. I hope they are working on fixing the problems because it is quite ignoring. I'm going to try and post this again lets see if it goes thru. Take care and good luck.

That happened to me too while I was replying to a discussion but I didn't have to rewrite my whole reply. After I hit the post comment button, the screen went blank and stayed that way. I just press the back button on my browser and everything worked again.

Hi tjwill! I have been here for a year and I too think that the site is just perfect. Everything just looks nice to me and am satisfied with how things work here. But you're right. Maybe they found something new and they like to add a new feature here in mylot. Can't wait to see what will be result of this upgrade they're doing.

I am having the same problem. I posted a response to discussion, and afer I hit the post responses button, I got a blank screen, so I just hit the back button to make sure it was there and it was. I thought it was my computer too, but since others are having the same problems, then I know it is with mylot and nor my computer. I hope that they get the upgrading done before to long so it can all get back to normal. It will be surprising to see what the ugrades will really be. I like the site the way it is, but if htey want to make it better, then I am all for that. I just hope that it isn't changed to much though, as the looks of the site right now looks great to me. I agree. They layout they have right now is good. I like how they have the buttons below the most recent discussions and their corresponding interest. It makes navigating easy.
