Hello friends, Just curious about something. When you are in a marriage or a serious relationship and they happen to pass wind around you. How do you respond? Do you ever get annoyed with it or what? Does it make you upset when your significant other pass gas near you?Am I the only one who thinks it's rude to pass gas around others or what?

Thankfully, when Hubby does it doesn't smell. I think while it's not a polite thing to do, there are times that it's necessary. Holding it in can cause a lot of pain. After all it's only air that is trapped in your body...it's not like it's actual poo or anything. Some foods will cause a person to be extra gassy and it's really better to let it out. I agree that just ripping them for the sake of fun is rude LOL The old Pull My Finger joke comes to mind. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Well you make a strong point here twoey68 so I have to agree with you. It can be bad to hold it in but just letting it rip for the sake of laughter is almost considered a form of abuse if you asking me. Anyhow your point has been well taken. Keep mylotting!

Farting must be done in the bathroom. I think it is easy enough to go to the toilet if one feels the urge to fart. It is also politeness towards others, especially your loved ones. Make it a house rule!

That's a great idea eileenleyva but i know it would never stick as a house rule around here. It seems that some people are so used to making up their own rules. So if I started that one up it would probably just go from farting to name calling and saying that it's just a rediculous rule. See if some people aren't the ones to think up the rules they refuse to follow by them. Thanks anyways for sharing thoug

Foul odors...that is one thing I'm thankful I don't have to put up with. No husband, no passing gas. Of course I did grow up with a father, so I wasn't totally free and clear. From my married friends I gather that men don't pass gas when they are in the dating stage. They wait until the marriage license is signed and the deal is sealed...then they start letting them fly!

Yes, i guess that must be the way things work Ambiepam, with married couples, back in the dating years you think this person is so nice, kind, polite, sociable , considerate, gracious, the list could go on and on. But once the paperwork is all signed and sealed it's another story. So I think that you are very lucky that you don't have to put up with this kind of insensitive crap. I'm certain that you aren't missing a thing. Thanks for responding.

A lover who is afraid to fart around their partner most likely has a problem If you can't do it with your lover, who can you do it with??

I don't like to pass gas in front of my lover and I dont have a problem. Sorry I think that its gross and people need to have manners and go into another room to do that. If it stinks its not like I want to sit there and smell it.

Christina I have to agree with you on this one. Nobody wants to smell somebody else's rank oder, it's one thing if it happens to slip but for the most part why punish our partner? What's so hard about getting up and moving into another room?
