Hello friends,
Do you have anything, something you treasured too much like a ring,a piece of furniture inherited from generations, your baby dress,pictures...anything which is kept for a very long time?
I remember to ask this question my friends becoz last night i opened my sister's friendster account, and i saw our pictures taken during our grandma's funeral. And,i remember how old her house,it was built before the 2nd world war(1941) as long as i can remember, our grandma told us that, that house was built around 1920's.Thu it was reconstructed and some renovation was made, the woods especially the flooring were not being changed. And some old furnitures were being restored too.
How about you friends, any old old things you have?

Hello levanueb,
This is one of the sweetest treasure that a mother can give to her daughter. A ring passes to generations by generation.
And you are so lucky to have that treasure dear, that you were able to pass it to your daughter someday.
Thanks for your responce and have a great weekend

I am keeping my kiddies uniform as remembrance of my first uniform! and my first mobile phone, which is so much heavy compare to the one I am having now.. and I am sure my eldest uncle keeping all the furniture inherited from our previous house which lived by my paternal grandparents.. these stuff are just too sentimental to be dispose..

Hello cwong,
Kiddies uniform, that was great of you to have your first school uniforms being kept.
I also had my kids first baby dresses kept.
The first dress they ever worn when they will being released from the hospital,i had it kept.
Yah,furniture from our old folks were too sentimental to be disposed and i guess it's like giving away a part of our lives too. So,better keep it for our next generations and teach them how to value old things too.
Thanks for your responce dear, happy weekend ahead

Hi. I think the oldest thing that I still have is my black and white picture when I was still one year old. I was wearing a set of tuxedo which was tailored by my now deceased grandpa who was a master tailor. That time, we, the four eldest grandsons all have our own sets of tuxedos. The three other cousins of mine have photos that time but I don't have their pictures, I was able to save this mine.

Hello neil,
That's great.I always like seeing kids wearing tuxedo's,they look like small grown ups looks so cute.
I could just imagine you looks so cute with it ,just wish you also had save or kept your small tuxedo, since it was tailored by your grandpa.
But the picture is good enough then,to remember your grandpa and your tuxedo

I do not like to keep antiques furnitures or buy antique things. I maybe like antique jewelries or heirloom pieces, But I am not a heavy collectors. I really feel like a tingling sensation or associate antique things with the past are own by past generation. I avoid collecting it as I may encounter some spirits who may feel bad if I keep it. Not really superstitious person, but I do not like to collect antique pieces. But, I love to see and feel it but not to keep in my possession. Somebody can keep it but not me. So far my oldest collection are few photos of my ancestors which I try to upload in my heritage sites which would be available even to my grandchildren in the future to see. They may compare their looks where they got it..

Hello neel,
hehehe, you were scared of antiques my dear, just like what we can see on horror movies .I don't believe with those ones.I also don't collect antique things, but,i like seeing my grandma's antique things and what i like most is the door on her room.It was a solid door that when you close it,it makes a sound like "THUD"..even if you close it carefully it still makes a sound.
That's a good collection you had,i also had collection of our ancestors photos,a geneology, for my kids to see and trace their descendants and for my grandkids too.
Thanks for your responce dear, have a good day always
