Desktop or Laptop??

I have always used a desk top computer, for about as long as I have been using a computer. I have used laptops before but they were not mine so I never really experienced the convienence of a laptop before. I got a laptop a few days ago and I am finally set up on the internet after many failed attempts at connecting wirelessly. I am not by any means a computer wiz so that took me all day. But now that I am up and running I am absolutely in love! Since I am a work at home mom and majority of my time is spent online at home this is great. I am typing this discussion right from my bed! No more being cramped up in one spot at my desk upstairs but now I can put the kids to bed and work in the same area as them. I can work in the kitchen, in the backyard, where ever!
What type of computer do you use? Laptop or desktop and which do you like better or prefer?

i bought a sweet asus laptop recently and its been great! i go with laptops only now because i have some health probs and i cant sit at a desk for hours and since i cant get out and dont work this is my main way to keep in touch with people so with a laptop i can curl up and be comfortable and be online etc.. i always thought they were silly till my health probs kicked in and i was like ok i cant sit at this desk for one more minute! i will never go back!

I have both desktop and laptop.
I mainly used my desktop for gaming and laptop while lying down on the bed watching stuff and mylot-ing.
It really depends on the situation I get really frustrated with a slow laptop and the touch pad sometimes and you can't do heavy gaming on it. but these days I think I use laptop more than desktop at home.

Good day I always prefer a desktop and am having in my home is desktop.Desktop
computers are the best and no problem will comes with that computers.In my desktop i used to watch video songs,movies,listening to music,practiced in my computer and
like that we can do any work on desktop computers.Desktops we can write the cd's,dvd's.In laptops we have to handle with care.Its mostly useful for bussiness
peoples,software programmers,etc

I prefer using my desktop, as it has a lot more power, and is useful for my intense programs and video encoding. A laptop is good for people that move around a lot or travel and need to have their computer with them by their side. So, it all depends on what kind of user you are.
