laptop adapter heats up

whenever i am charging my laptop these days, the power adapter really heats up a lot. i did not check earlier if this was happening, and hence i do not know if this is normal. i have an apple macbook. i just wanted to know if this is normal or do i need to get it checked.

It is normal. Mine heats up too. The laptop is not to be used for a prolong amount of time so if you need be spend hours mylotting then you should use your desktop. Sometimes when my brother is on the desktop and I have to use my laptop for a long time, I just let it heat up. It doesn't break but its not good for the computer.

Whatever your laptop requires in wattage, you need to provide. Amperage has nothing to do with it. If your laptop requires 90 watts and you are using a 75 watt power supply, then the power supply is being overworked and will overheat and will probably damage.

This is quite normal behavior in laptop chargers, you most likely do not need to take the MacBook charger to get it checked.
