First, like my father had told me when it was my first time had experience with earthquake (I was about 6 years old at that time), I will hide under the table or under the bed to prevent myself get hurt by fallen things.. Pray, pray and pray! Second, if it getting strong, I will pick a pillow, cover my head with it and run outside, to the park in front of my house. If it happen at night, I will bring my cellphone as light and to communicate in case the worst thing happen. After it stop, I won't enter house immediately..will wait until 30 minutes or more then enter my house..

Hello friend, Oh,you reminded me of the great earthquake that striken my country 8 years ago.My hometown Baguio city was the epicenter of that quake. First thing to do is...go outside your house/building and stay on a clearing.Becoz we never knew how stable our houses/buildings are,and we never knew how hard or how long the quake will go on. This is to avoid any debris or things to fall on us. If this happen at night, make sure to grab your flashlights or any rechargable lamp, becoz,it maybe interrupt the electric power. If the quake stop,do not go back to your houses at once, especially if the quake was strong, the quake may had shaken the building that will cause any collapsed any moment and that makes you being trapped inside or may hit you. wait for sometimes, becoz earthquakes tend to had after shocks. most of all, make sure all your loved ones are in a safer place.

I would move to strong part of my building which is the staircase usually. Also would find some thing like a table and get under it. These measures help in staying alive in case the house is reduced to rumble. And most of the time I will pray.

I would grab my kid and stand under the box of the door. I guess that's the fastest way for saving, in spite of, I'm not sure it's quick enough in case the earthquake is very strong. Running out takes much more time in spite of that the instinct calls to run away. Also running out is very riskful, because you dont't have to use the elevator and the stairs are one of the weakest parts of the buildings. I also know people that have a bag prepared with some clothes, water and copies of important papers.

Well, honestly speaking i would get out of the house not hastily but in a composed manner, look around to see what everyone else is doing and when its gone i will continue what i was doing or call up someone and tell what happened.
