i hate injections.. i am always very nervous whenever i need to be injected, or having my blood tested. Funny enough, i was actually trained to inject patients, i used to do my nursing degree and injecting people was my daily routine, and i enjoyed it very much, if i could have the chance again, i would do those injections again, but please.. dont inject me!!! LOL.. so, do you hate injections? or are you alright with it??

Good day yelrihs,
Well for me I really don't hate injections, cause I know it can helps us a lot, specially if you are going to be injected for the vaccines or medicines. Just this morning my baby receives her first vaccine for the BCG and Hepa B. She cries a lot when the nurse injected her the vaccines, and I am the one who is carrying her while she was receiving the vaccine, cause my wife can't manage too look at our baby on that situation.

Hi, i don't think injection is such a bad thing if people need to receive for their disease. Although it hurts a little at that moment, people can recover more quickly compared with taking medicine. As i donot like the feeling or state of being ill, i'd rather get the injection if i have no choice.
anyhow, hope Brienn's baby can be well soon. :)

i've gone for many injections in my life. as a regular blood donor, i get jabbed every three months or so. i've also gotten my hepatitis A & B vaccination so that's another three jabs. it's painful for me but i don't mind it much. it's less painful when you relax your muscles. even when i get jabbed before donating blood, i'll look away as the sight of it makes it more painful.

I used to hate any needles and any shots or injections! I always told people I couldn't be a nurse because I would feel bad about giving people injections! I don't mind getting them myself now, but it still bothers me to watch others (especially my children) get them! My brain just doesn't get the sticking sharp things into your body on purpose thing I guess. :-)

Maybe it sounds strange, but I feel happy with injections! I will feel nervous first, but after the injections, I will smile! I like the sensation and slight hurt feeling during injection,,the smell of hospital, etc. Oh, and having a blood tested is nice too! I always think I can't stand it, it will go through my bone..but it's not! I still safe here and enjoy look at my blood out from my body,,that's why I like it!
You're so naughty, yelrihs,,,, You like to inject person but you don't like to be injected,,hehehe
Hope you will success in your job.. Are you a nurse now?

i cant really say if i hate it or not.. like i was quite nervous to receive injection, but you wont feel it very painful at all if the person knows how to do it. but i do have a friend who went to have flu shots, and somehow the nurse broke her blood vessels due to the injections and she ended up with massive bruises! now, i wouldnt like that at all. lol.

Hi there!
Given the choice, I would not like to be pricked by injection,. However, no other alternative is available and I need to take injection, I would accept it reluctantly. Now a days, I find that needles are very thin and one does not feel the pinch/pain, when needles are injected.

I used to HATE needles, but after the past 30 years of treatment for an on the job injury and other medical problems I have had so many needles in my arm that I could take a job as a pin cushion!!! Because of my having asthma caused by my Mom's second hand smoke, I have to have flu shots every year, plus blood tests nearly monthly. It's so mundane that I just flop out my arm and hope that they hit "oil" and don't have to dig for a vein. (That is the only part of needles I absolutely HATE! I have had nurses and blood drawers that have missed or gone through the vein and then they "dig" to find the vein to get blood. If I have an inkling that they are going to "dig" I call for a supervisor at the top of my lungs!

yeah, it's truly indeed that some people hate injected.
i feel the some thing too.
however, when the doctor is about to inject, i feel comfortable looking at the needle instead of looking at somewhere else.

yeah, sometimes i feel nervous at first.
however, once the doc started to inject, i'll always calm down, trying to relax by looking at the needle!
in my opinion, the first moment the needle enter your skin, it is less hurt than the moment the doctor is trying to suck your blood or press the piston.

my husband first came to mind when you mentioned injections. he's scared of it. actually he's scared of things i find okay like roaches and foods sold on the streets. anyway, i'm okay with injections. am not scared of that needle. i just hate the pain the drawing of blood from the finger entails. also, when it is the dentist's needle, that is the only injection i can say i'm really afraid since, well, you don't get injected by the dentist (most of the time, at least) unless something is really bad is in there .

Hi, I hate to be injected. However, sometimes it's inevitable, especially when I'm sick and pills don't seem effective enough or I want to recover ASAP. Some injections cause a lot of pain, but I did experience some injections that didn't bring much pain, like inoculations. The needle is usually thin and the medicine in the needle tune is little if the injection is for inoculation purpose. I guess this is why it doesn't pain that much.

I do not like to get injection either. After I get one I break out into a cold sweat. The doctor told me it was a needle reaction and it happens to lots of people. They make me sit for a few minutes and then the cold sweat stops.

Injections are not so bad. I hate some of the "vampires" that try to draw blood.... stick me, miss the blood vessel and then go digging to find it. OUCH! you*##%@!! that hurts. I am what they call a hard stick lol. When I've been the hospital some techs have chickened out and got a peds nurse to do my blood draws sine they are used to finding tiny vessels on a child. Some of the most painless ones have been done by ER techs who are used to doing blood draws and IV's on trauma patients with very low BP and thereby hard to find veins. The best time was after receiving a clott buster treatment and they put in a "tap" because I couldn't have any needle sticks for 24 hrs... strange having a little spout with a knob but great to not get stuck every few hrs lol.

I have to give myself a weekly injection. I DO NOT enjoy it, but it was a choice of either doing it myself or let my husband, an ex-military medic, do it. I said that I'd learn to do it myself, and I did.

I am the worst! I had blood tests done along time ago and hyperventalated, saw white almost passed out and atfer they made me go in this room to lay down for 30 minutes before I could leave. It all bothers me from the smell of the alchol to the sound of them opening up the new needles, that thing they put around your arm to make the veins pop out. Omg I'm feeling dizzy now!!!! Liz

I have no problems with getting injections....never have. I sit there and watch the needle go in and usually the nurses look at me real funny. I don't flinch at all. Now finger sticks....that is a different story. I can't stand those! Just the thought of them makes me sweat.
