Has anyone recently broken a promise they made to you?

When I was just a boy I made a promise to a little girl that I would protect her from anything bad. I broke that promise. My family moved away and I couldnt protect her from the bad thing's anymore. But I am now here to make good on my promise again. Now that she is my wife. She know's that I am here now and that I will protect her from anything.

Yes, frequently.... and they really are not difficult promises to keep. If I had promised to do those things then, I definitely would have. Some of them are the same promises over and over again. If I find I can't keep a promise, there will be a very good reason and I will explain it. The main person I break a promise to is myself.... I promise that I will make changes to my like but seldom do.

Very, very recently someone broke a promise they had made to me. I was expecting it because the person concerned could not possibly have maintained it. It was something they had promised without thinking and when they made thepromise it was in exchange for something else to their own advantage. You know the type -. if you do that I'll do this sort of person. I can't even remember the last promise I made but when I say I'll do something then I will do it, with or without promising. I promise things to myself too and most of the time I manage to keep them.

I have had promises broken all the time to me. Some not good but some I was able to understand and look past it. Sometimes things really do come up and you have to break that promise. I however tend to keep my promises as much as I can but sometimes things do come up. Like I was suppose to meet a friend and I was running a little late. I did call and let him know what was going on but then I got a phone call from the hospital. My granny fell in and she passed away that same day. I had to go and be with her. In this I forgot to call my buddy to let him know what was going on. I talked to him later and explained the situation and he understood that it was more important for me to be with my family. I guess it is however you look at the promise that was made and why that promise was broken.
