How a person can survive without money?

August 12, 2009 2:37am CST
I'm a fresh graduate. It's been already 4 months passed since the day i graduated. After graduation my parents stop from giving my monthly allowance. Right now i don't have budget for job hunting. Having this kind of situation makes me feel so helpless. There are times that I'm so relax at home doing nothing but just surf the net receiving zero income. But whenever I think of myself being unproductive, I'm so disappointed. I've come to realize that after graduation life would be a some sort of mess because you don't know where to start and where to seek help. I don't know where to get money to be used in my application venture. What should i do?

How can a person survive without money? Hummm this sounds like a terrible situation to be in. Why don't you go back to your college and look on their bulletin boards and see if there are some jobs posted. Also you might want to check in with counseling and just start asking around if anyone is hiring. Whatever you major is then make up a few flyers and post them out in public places like the grocery stores, laundromats and barbershops. Whereever you happen to frequent, the main thing is to get that laid back atitude from out of your mind. I can remember when I first started out in life, my attitude was failure isn't an option. You have to motivate yourself and get on out there and take whatever kind of jobs that you can when you are first starting out. The job market can afford to be choosy right now, so you must really do your homework and research in order for you to stay on top of things, get your resumes ready. Don't just stop after putting in applications at one or two places and think, Oh I will wait for them to call me. Finding a job is a job, you must get busy and don't give up. Hope all this info. has been helpful. Pounding the pavement is what you will have to do. I have certainly done my share of it. When I left mom and dad's house, I have never looked back. They don't give me money and I don't expect for them to. They have done their part and that was to take care of us and bring us safely into adult hood. Now they are wondering, what can you do for yourself? So get up and get at em lucky joe, you are so lucky to have college behind you. Now you must get out there and begin to make a life for yourself. It will be exciting once you make the first start. happy mylot!

Some other people survive in one dollar money. Some they planted vegetables in their backyards that's why they survived. Some they collect some food and reserved it then in time of difficulties they have food even they have no job.

It is not impossible for a person to live without money but it is really difficult these days, I mean you could catch fishes, hunting, make the fire in the woods just like going back the old days but who is still doing it now? Everybpdy is using the technique thingy, enjoying all kinds of fun entertainment etc. So I don't think living without money looks good at all... Anyway, I hope you can look for a good job as soon as possible, keep looking hard! ;-)

online jobs do take time to start giving you profit. and that too is not guaranteed. since you are a graduate i guess you can take up some sort of teaching job or private tutions. i am sure you can teach small kids and can also decide what and how much time you want to devote to it. and in the rest of the time you can try your luck in online jobs. don't act in hurry or desperation. plan out what you really want to do. good luck.

But you seem to have an internet connection. You can used this to your advantage. I've been in your shoe, and I know how it felt after graduation and not able to have a job, but you need to keep on job hunting and do not be choosy. Choose any work that you can do, even at a very low pay, that's only for start. At the same time, start searching other job too, once you have an experience, you gain advantage from there. Anyway good luck on your job hunting. Don't give up.

are you know before people does not know the money, people's each other meet their needs with the mutual exchange of good and services ? So, dont always thinking about money if you no have it. the First thing you should do is build trust between people who you know. better to people who have business. build and developed that trust.

Hi,I think many people did have the same situation like yours, and I am one of those, just 3 years ago when I graduated. But now,I think you at least find a way to start,as you are now a new mylotter.aren't you? While,to be more practical,I think you may at least find a job and start earning money, and for the very first job,it may not to your interest, but I think as long as you can earn money on your own ability,it is already a great beginning. Then when you get some savings, you may change for new job.How do you think?

i think the best thing that you can do is you look for something that you will not need to invest any amount but you will have a profit like for example is an online job but be careful because there are many scams nowadays.. so you need to be careful.. and then if times come that you earn already you can use that money to find a real job..

Practically, you really need money to survive. But in your case, you have mentioned that you are a fresh graduate. So, go on trust yourself and motivate. Don't forget that you have your own skills and talents. Never lose hope 'coz you could really find ways in order to earn money. Then, never forget your friends. Ask help from them so they could guide and assist you. As long as everything went fine then MONEY is not a problem at all. CHEER UP DUDE!

joe_lucky, Don't you have any savings at all, after all this while? I am sorry but when I was at your age, I had managed to save quite an amount by graduation. During the holidays, I would apply for some part time jobs and apprentice attachments where I could get some extra income. Also, upon graduation, I was able to cash in my education insurance policy which my parents had bought for me when I was born. As for you, I do not think you can do anything much now, except to ask for a temporary loan from your parents where you will return upon your first salary payout. It is quite a concern for young people like you to be in this situation. However, I am sure your family would be loving enough to help you out. So, just don't hesitate to ask for help for this rather short period from your parents. Take care.
