Should we tell our kids about the true face of the society, including the ugly and cruel side, and not only the good and kind side ?
So that when they start working, they would have some awareness about the society ( such as office politics etc ).

I think that educating our children about society is very important to their future and the way they function in it. It is sad but they do need to be prepared. Ignoring the truth and pretending it doeasn't exist won't help them at all. They already get a good idea about it from the news and their friends. We might as well set the records straight and let them know that we understand versus acting as though everything is ok.

Hi curious, I think that our kids quickly learn these things for themselves. I fully believe though in open and honest discussion with our children as it promotes trust. There is much more good in the world than there is bad so we should always try to bring out the best in people.Blessings.

Sure this is a better way for educating the kids. At the same time, we have to tell them the ugly side (such as cheating...) so as they can avoid been cheated.

Hi there!
In my opinion yes, we should tell our kids about the real world. It will benefit them when they're already grown ups. Awareness can save themselves from getting into trouble in the future. Like what the law says, ignorance of the law is not an excuse. The same thing goes about what the real world is like.
Ciao!

Hi!
I think it is also the best thing that we can give to our children is our honesty towards time. I mean, being practical about whats happening in our society makes them more aware and effective. But the approach is always in appropriate way, so they will understand more. And I'm sure knowing the worst and cruel problems transform them to a good problemsolvers in the future.

We have to tell them exactly what is happening in our surrounding, to aware of these things ( like cheating by telephone...) but not doing these things themselves.

Yes, we should, it is something that teenagers need to know with society the way it is nowadays. You need to tell them about how cruel or harsh society can be on you, and with this knowledge, avoid mistakes in the future.

In their early age, we only tell them fairy tales and the good-sides of mankind, but as they grow older, we have to tell what actually happens in the society.
Thanks for sharing. Happy mylotting !

Yes. I would most definitely tell them about the true facts of life and what they should expect when they get out into the real world so they are not suprised by the mishaps along the way. They need to be forwarned of what to expect.
