do you like to show your personal information online?

In china,we have two blogs which are used frequently.the one is xiaonei(sth like facebook),the other one is QQzone(QQ blog).in xiaonei,you have to show your personal
information like real name,address,cellphone number,school..... someone in china like to use xiaonei,because you can find your friends easily in xiaonei and communicate with your friend as if you are in the real community.while others like to use QQzone,because you don't have to show your personal information.you can use nickname and only your good friends know who are you.
what's your own preference?and why?

Hi victor,i am from China too.i just know Xiaonei from you the first time.i have blog in Sohu also QQzone.i put my pitures and products in my QQ zone and it is easy for my customers to check.i don't like to show my personal information online you know will cause many trouble in life.i just give my information to the ones i trust and know well.have a nice day!

glad to see my countrymen here.It's weird you don't know xiaonei.
as far as I am concerned,xiaonei is very famous.a few days ago,xiaonei
changed its name into renren.maybe the company want everyone to sign up
in the website.you can easily find your classmate with typing the name
into the search engine in xiaonei.maybe it is only famous among university
students or post 80s.the people of your age may don't know the website.
if so,the search engine is meaningless for you.maybe you could find your
son/daughter in xiaonei in the futher.

The second one is preferred.
When there are people, there are conflicts, thus will be Vanity Fain(Jianghu^_^) there. If others do not know your personnal information, it could be easier to focus on the contention itself, it has nothing to do with any intimate relationships. However, in facebook or xiaonei, you may try harder to resolve such problems because you do not want to hurt any close friends and vice versa.
The last weapon you may get, if you choose the second path, is the ease to be reborn. Whenever it makes you aweful with the things in QQ-zone, you could just register another nickname and go on, while it is impossibe in xiaonei. But it could be a real pity if you have a lot of friends with your older nickname.

thanks for your comments.I'm glad to find a countrymen here.
I think what you said is exactly right.xiaonei has its own advantages.
while every coin has two sides.its advantages lead to its disadvantages.
just as we can't say everything to our friends in the real world,sometimes
we can't tell the truth to our friends in xiaonei.but in QQzone,we can
communicate with a lot of people we don't know.we can say true word to
them regradless of hurt anyone.and just as you said,we can easily get reborn
in QQzone.

I know it's not necessary to show all the personal information online, but some are still alright to show. I am a member of Kaixin001, and it is also another social network here. I even show my real name there. I don't think it is harmful for myself. If you want to make friends with others, I think it is important to show some of your basic information, such as where you come from, your gender, hobbies and so on.

i do show my personal info on social site like facebook because its one way of communicating to the people i know whom i no longer acquaint with.. through posting info bout me, they will be able to identify me and our connections resumed..

I like the second option, I've got to hide my real names and only used nicknames. This is my way to protect my privacy. I do not like to put my personal information. As their are stalkers who call me at homes sometimes in the middle of the night almost every weekend like every Friday. I do not like to entertain it..It is a little bit of annoying. And, it is dangerous to put all your personal information as other may used your profiles against you. It is not a funny things that someone totally unknown to you mail or attempt to call you as I feel uncomfortable sharing my files or information..

it is dangerous to put one's real information online.
It's chance that someone make use it to do some illegal
things.also we make get bothered by some boring person.
are you bothered by someone because of this? what's the most
annoying experence?would you like to share it with me?

I like to show my personal information online, in terms of social sites, like friendster, facebook, hi five and other social sites, but in online earning i just put name that to far to my name to protect my account.

SO far, the only communication tool i'm using is mylot.. lol =D ONly a few frenz of mine has got my YM.. Other than that, i'm not into facebook, MSn, friendster etc..
I find all of them are just a waste of time, and that i have better usage for my time.. hehe ^_^ PLus, if i wanna catch up with my frenz, i will meeting them up in person instead, rather than being online.. Though convenient, but nothing beats actual meet ups.. haha =D
