A buggy for two kids

I have a 26 month old disabled son that is unable to walk and a six week old baby girl. I needed to buy a buggy that take two kids. I looked at double buggies that are side by side. The seats looked small and they were ever to wide. I thought it might have been challenging to get on buses and trains. It might have been difficult to get into most shops without turning sideways. So I got a older one sits in the front and the younger one sleeps underneath. I got a carry cot for it but my baby girl has outgrown it already! I asked a couple of other owners of that model buggy. They said I could put my baby girl on the bit the carry cot rests on. Alternatively I could put her in a seat with a head hugger. I think she is still too large for the first option and too young for the second option. What do you think? Phil and Teds Sport with double seat and carry cot.

When my son was born, katt was already 3 and she preferred to walk everywhere. HOwever, when her brother was born , she suddenly decided she would like to go back on the buggy as well. I looked trough many of the double ones but none fit all my needs. I ended up finding the perfect one in a second hand store just for kids. There was enough space for him to lay down in the back part, and enough for her to sit at the front. It was a bit long but very easy to maneuver. I was just checking the ones that you mention and they look good, but like you I am a bit wondering where I would put the little baby. Mine was not as streamlined or modern, but had a surprising comfy area for the small baby at the back and a pretty nice one for the toddler in the front. Is there any specific part of it that actually will go flat, for laying down the baby?

It is interesting that Katt could walk but wished to go back in the buggy. She was lucky you found the perfect buggy for two. I think that the buggy goes flat but it it not long if the seat is on top of it. The wheels on it are huge and therefore make it incredibly heavy. It was an expensive purchase and I can't believe how big Amber is getting. She will be 7 weeks old on Saturday and she is wearing 3 to 6 month clothing. She has very long legs.

Yeah... I think it was a bit of sibling jealousy in there, or just wanting the same special attention as her baby brother, although she was great with him from day one. I was lucky to find a good one, although, had to check in the second hand store. It wasn't about money, but I really couldn't find what I wanted in the regular stores. In the picture, it does seem a bit heavy. And I'm not really sure how well it will work with both children, specially if it can be flat for the newborn to lay down and upright for the other one. Would you be able to go to the store with both kids and try it out? That seems like the best way to know it if will work or not.

I have both types of double strollers. My side-by-side stroller is a jogging stroller that is meant to go on all kinds of terrain. It works well for the trails I jog on and other outdoor adventures. However, it is too wide and bulky for stores and other public outings. I have the one in front of the other kind for the stores and public places. My son is only a month old and I love the stroller as it allows the car seat to be attached to the stroller. He is too little to sit in a seat so he can easily stay in his car seat. There are two seats so when he is older and able to sit on his own, he can use it. I recommend it and think you should look into this type of stroller.
