Next time take a note of how many times you're asking that question.
You'd be surprised.. I guess i used it myself a dozen times a day when i am outside with friends..

Hi. edmltw. I ask this question from time to time because I want to know of someone else opinion. I want to know how they feel about something. I also want to know their advice before I give my own out, or make a decision of whether to do something or not.

Usually, we're asking somebody's opinion in a discussion when we ask that. If we were just asking to know what's going on in their heads, we'd be very annoying, to say the least.
