Did you see the Teen Choice Awards? It aired monday (august 10) on Fox.
I watched to see the Twilight cast. xD
But the thing that stuck with me most from the show was Miley's performance.
She was prancing around in a super short skirt, and pole dancing. She's a 16-year-old Disney kid! And on top of that, her dad and mom were in the audience, and they gave her a standing ovation! I thought it was soooo awkward.

I didn't see the awards but I have noticed that Miley has been wearing shorter more revealing clothing. I think sometimes she goes a little too far considering most of her fans are under 12 years old. But I get it at the same time. She is 16, remember back to when you are 16 and you wanted to be considered an adult. She probably wants to break free of the squeaky clean disney kid act and sing and dance like an adult. But I think she should be careful how quickly she makes the change considering how young her fans are.

I'm not sure if I'd call it pole dancing -- she was basically just holding on to the pole. It was definitely suggestive, though, and I think whoever came up with the idea definitely wanted to convey a sexy image. I don't really blame Miley so much as I do a society that seems to expect female singers and musicians to bare as much as possible in addition to producing music. Why isn't art enough? It is for me.

I heard about this because they were talking about it on one of the news programs. I think that is so disgusting especially because she is suppose to be a role model for teens. I don't personally see her as that because she has done some outrageous things in the past. I can't believe her parents would allow such behavior. I also don't understand how the producers were ok with a pole dancing routine on a teen choice award show. What are they thinking?

It sounds pretty bad. I don't like when young girls try to act older than they are. I miss when kids were kids and that was that!
