In other countries, abortion is already legalized... I am happy that it is not legalized in the Philippines. I just feel for those unborn babies, it's just so sad to know about these things. BABIES THROWN AWAY LIKE A GARBAGE.
I know it is none of my business why some people have to decide to abort a child, but I just think that it is wrong... Even if it is just a day old in the womb.
I know most of you know about aborted fetus being served as a food and people are encouraged to eat it because it is said to help "restore health." Rumor or not, I strongly disagree with this, let us have a little respect to these unwanted babies--for me, they are considered humans too.

Fetus being served as food? EEEWWWW I don't think I can eat that!! That's disgusting and that is soooo wrong!! I can't imagine people eating a fetus, if it's true that some people eat them, they're like animals or cannibals.

I could never be rid of one of my babies and I believe people who do so will regret it one day.
As for eating them, there are cultures out there who eat fetuses of almost anything why not this too. Beliefs are strange. At one time people believed swallowing dust from mummies would be healthy, same with eating the placenta or the heart of a loved one who has passed. Strange things, it is way out there to me.

Umm.. I've never heard of people eating aborted fetuses. Ewwww gross. I hope that I'm misunderstanding that.
I figure that aborthions are going to be happening no matter where you live. At least if they are legalized the women can go to an actual doctor and have it done as safetly as possible.
I've always been pro-choice. I figure that an abortion is a pretty tough private decision. No one has the right to tell someone else what to do with their bodies.
And when it came down to it - that's what I chose. But I'm not sure that I would have if I'd know how it was going to affect me mentally the rest of my life.

I agree with you on the safety aspect, at least if they are legalised it will stop many of women from being "butchered" and probably dying or ending up infertile as a result of an illegal back street abortion

Even in countries where abortion is legal some ladies die during an abortion. Laura Hope Smith in America was in her twenties and she tried having an abortion when she was 13 week pregnant. When I looked into how many deaths of ladies there have been during abortions it shocked me. I am pro-life and feel sorry for the babies which become the missing people of the world.

i respect your view on this; if it is indeed a choice for some people--they might want to use their conscience too...

Hi cmnavarro,
Abortion is a criminal offence. One is able to do abortion when she is pregnant by rape or the fetus is suffering serious health problems. In my opinion a baby in the womb is equal to the baby in the hand. Life of a fetus is also important and nobody has the right to kill them. You have mentioned that fetus is eating by some people, first time I heard and my comment is 'barbarous' on the same.

yep, there are certain situations that pregnancy has to be terminated due to some serious health problems. that is the big bio-ethical issue that the health care team and the family of the baby is facing...
there are some rumors circulating in the net about aborted fetus were eaten in taiwan or in a certain province in china...

abortion is wrong but
the problem in the Philippines is the catholic church discouraging the use of contraceptives. by not using contraceptives unwanted babies happen.

legal or not abortion depend from which side you see. Medically not prohibit in certain circumstances. This different if you see from the law, RELIGION and society norms. Irrespective of this, I am support legalized abortion because a mother is a human and human have the right namely HUMAN RIGHT

We have different views and I respect that... I just don't think that we have the 'right' to take away lives and ABORTION IS ONE FORM OF TAKING AWAY LIFE FROM AN UNAWARE HUMAN BEING WHO HAS THE SAME HUMAN RIGHTS AS OURS.

Dear cmnavarro,
This topic is good for us to ponder on how people value 'life'.
In Malaysia, there is one organisation called 'Birth Right',
it will counsel those mothers who want to abort their baby.
They will do their utmost best to ask the mother to avoid
abortion. They will take care of the pregnant mum till she
give birth. After that, the baby will be put for adoption.
All the best and hope to hear your views on my topics too.
Take care and do keep in touch :)

I don't believe in abortion for the simple fact of getting rid of an unwanted baby. In my opinion, there are plenty of people that want a child that are unable to have children of their own, why not give these kind of people their dream. The thought of eating it completely makes me sick. That is just completely and utterly disgusting. And, yes, in my opinion these late little people are people just as much as you and I.

aborted fetus being served as a food !!!!!! What sort of people they are.. they all are really disgrace to humanity. Yes, i agree with you. I'm a gynecologist by profession and i admire that we have to respect these unwanted babies..they must be considered as human beings. They are not a garbage at all.

Here we have the same happen. Just heard that when I do not believe taht. However, I believe that the photos looked. I just can not understabd those who are throwing away the baby, is how those who eat the go. Is too ruthless. Ah are both human. I hope that those who do not throw away human nature. Do not do the justifications for these murderous things.
I prefer to believe that these are false news.
