It seems like when they will try as much as they could to avoid talking about it, seeing or even touching it, is it a thing that that feel very gross about because it is a product for women to use in their monthly period - bloodyuck??? What is it?
My honey is fair about it, if I am with him, I will not ask for him to pick it, I will do it by myself because I know he is embarassed about it. If I am home and really need it, he would get it for me which I appreciate a lot because I would not ask him if I am able to get it by myself...
What do you think about this topic? Let's share your opinion :-)

We need pad or tampon fot the "menstruation". I think men actually feel guilty because two major uncomfort condition in women cause by them...MENstruation and MENopause...LOL...just kidding. Well, I can't really explain it either, but it might has something to do with smell of blood. And has something to do, that everything that came out from our bottom part mostly gross.

To be very fair to men, even I think it is gross. We have to wear it out of necessity and its not a very pleasant sight. I hate going to the loo when I am in my periods because its not easy on the eye and the nose. Changing a pad always made me feel good, getting rid of the old used one was my job and Id not allow even my husband to touch it, not that he would. hehe. Of course, if I needed a fresh pack from the chemist, he would willingly go and get one.

that’s the basic truth I think….GROSS…its not a very pretty sight to us ladies, and then we are supposed to be used to it! So its but natural that men freak out…I think the smell and the sight fight with each other as to which is more gross LOL
but one good thing is that most hubbies / guys are OK with it (as I see here) and so is my hubby. Its basically his job to get my supplies every month. I never did ask how he feels to pick up a pack…I just thrust it upon him and he gallantly accepted

hehe i must be one of those fortunate ones who never had any trouble with any male i know and knew about issues on feminine pads and stuff like this. all the guys in my family and my friends are pretty open and actually helpful about it. i could easily ask one of my brothers, a male friend or a boyfriend to buy me some in the store or supermarket. nobody had ever been embarrassed about it. it is just naturally accepted that women in our family (and almost every woman with monthly period) regularly use it so it isn't a big deal.

My wife is a bone of my bone. Nothing i cannot do for her. Often time she had ask me to help her to buy pad and i do that with my head high. No big deal. Yeah the sight of her blood is trully irritating and uncomfortable with me. That does not mean she cannot cook my food or serve me. She is such a neat person that you wont know if she is menstruating.]

Hello mermaidivy,
My husband has no problem with that. He will help me to take one if I need to when I am unable to do so by myself. When I gave birth to my son, he was in the labor room with me and right after giving birth, he helped me changed to new clothes, take a new pad for me, throw the old one and even mopped the floor with a rug to clean up the blood stains. I think he has no problem at all with pad or blood. But of course I never ask him to buy or get one for me!

hello,
well, I don't think it is gross. It is just a period nothing like poop right? lolz. I dont know why man scare or feel gross about it either but my husband never feel like it is bad at all. sometimes he helps me get those throw away or buy it for me. I just pick it and put in the cart and he pays for it.
If I travel with it, then he helps me put those in the bag, not even that sometimes he buy panties or wash them for me. He never say anything... and I appreciate what he done also.
I wonder, if men feel so gross about and why I see some men want to smell woman's underwares .... lolz

hahahaha It seems like lots of married husband will be more caring about this and take care of the wife well. Maybe it is most likely young men's problem? I don't know, that's my own opinion though.

MY fiance is really cool about. I don't like pads and I don 't use them. I perfer to use tampons. I ask my honey all the time to pick them up for me and he has no problem with it. However the first time he had no idea what to get so he asked the sales person for help. She thought it was pretty nice of him to get them for me and even ask questions and everything. My honey knows me quite well and he answered all the questions. He even came home with the right ones I always use. My dad has even got them for me but the first time he got them for me he bought one of the regular, super etc etc. Was kinda funny. He's learned which ones to get me know and neither one of them are embaressed about getting it for me.

Hehehe yeah men really freak out. But there are some who don't. My brother who is already married doesn't mind including sanitary pads in the grocery lists. But my other single brother really would freak out. My male cousin once bought for me in the neighbor store and did not ask the sales clerk for wrapping instead went home and carried it for the worls to see.
I haven't seen my dad bought it for my mom, he doesn't go grocery shopping ever.

I am actually a little embarrassed myself, and I am a mature female! I think that it should be a really private and personal thing, with the exception of educating younger females to make it easier for them when their "time" comes.

I know men do freak out a bit on this subject, but I have to say that I am pretty lucky in the aspect that my hubby isnt. He will buy them for me if I need them or he will ask me if we are out if I need them (if we happen to be near them...LOL)
He may have been jumpy about them a bit when we first got married, but I dont think that lasted long since he basically knew what they were for!!
Happy mylotting.

My husband is actually very good about this subject. If I run out of my products he will go to the store and buy them for me. He will grab me one when I am in one bathroom if they are in the other bathroom, etc.
He knows what they are for and the basic premise of it doesn't seem to freak him out. It is whenever he's accidentally seen the blood that he freaks out. I think the main reason that men are skiddish about this circumstance is that they've never gone through it so they really don't have an understanding about it.

Guess it depends on the guy. My husband has no qualms about buying or touching pads or tampons. In my opinion, if someone has issues with such a product, they aren't very mature.

I think its mostly the younger men who freak out about it. The men who've been married, had children or in a committed relationship for a number of years and have learned that its going to happen every month like it or not..tend to ok with it..and a fair amount are willing to get them for you from the store..they may not like doing it and they are probably a bit embarrassed but they know it has to be done and its not like you can just turn things off.
when men are young and just doing the dating thing, they never have to really see or be around a woman when she is menstruating. most single women who are seeing a guy dont want to share that type of info anyways, they are just as embarrassed probably.
most men grow out of the "freak out" phase..its life and unfortunatly menstruating is a part of a womans life, so if they want to be with a woman they are going to have to figure out how to deal with it sooner or later.

Like You Said .. Mermaidy is Not Correct .. How Can Any Sane Man Freak out About Pads .. Before Coming Close To A Girl .. A Man Won't Know What A Period is .. He Will Try To Act Funny When He Sees A Woman Throw Away Used Pads, Not Freak Out .. But Once You Are With A Woman Menstruation is A Routine Activity, Which They Learn to live with Every Month .. I Was Just Wondering If All Mammals Have Periods, And If They Do .. For How Many Days .. Thank You ..

hi mermaidivy hatley here well my hubby and I, whenI was menstrating, had no problems because we were both hospital workers
who had seen just about every thing. we didnt gross out over something as ordinary as a kotex. it was just a normal thing to my hubby and if I couldnt get to the store he would buy them for me, he didnt f reak out as we both had seen more blood and guts than most people would in a lifetime. we both worked in E.R. too. so we just
handled pads like they were a normal thing that women used and needed. We have become so nasty nice,so sanitized in this country'that almost any body function seems to gross someone out.men even faint in the delivery room. having a baby is a normal natural event b ut still people get grossed out. If you had to clean up people who have been cut up by a car accident and do this almost daily the sight of blood would not really upset you that much

I think that its a topic that embarrasses men. I find my boyfriend would prefer that the topic of periods and such (he refers to it as i do as girlie yuckiness) which is fine with me.
My dad i assume was a rarity - however he is an only man with a wife and 4 daughters. I remember the first time i ever had to ask him to take me shopping for them - i think i was more embarrassed than he was! My mom was on holidays and my period started for the first time ever and i had to ask my dad to take me to the store - i knew what it was because mom had talked to me about it and i had a book called "whats happening to me" but it was still VERY VERY embarrassing to ask him about it.

Oh I'm sure you was embarrassed to ask him to take you to buy them... but I think being a dad know it is something the daughter will have so I think he was okay, my dad doesn't mind taking me to buy them as long a he doesn't need to touch it or carry it.

yea they do freak out about blood!!! Maybe they think it hurts and its der fault!! lol but i have a boyfriend that actually ask me about it! Some men are curious while others are not really curious and then just freak out!! I think the fact that our periods occur naturally, they should not freak out about anything!!!
I also think the main thin that freaks them is that it comes from under and dey just don't want to see the used pads. :)
