Saturday I decided that since my son would soon be 2 and I can hardly use the "baby weight" excuse anymore I needed some help losing weight. I had a friend that got Adipex prescribed and I had tried one (yea yea, I know you're not supposed to do that...oh well). The pill REALLY suppressed my appetite and I'll just be honest here...it felt pretty good. It's my understanding that people actually buy these pills for pure enjoyment.
I don't know why they don't just go to the clinic and get their own. Here is what happened there, in a nutshell...
I walk in 15 minutes after they closed and asked them to squeeze me in and they agreed. The cost of the visit was $45, which includes the pills, some vitamins and the doctor visit. They weigh you, ask you how much weight you want to lose, talk to you about how to use the pills and then they just hand you a bottle of legal meth.
I got these pills home and I was absolutely JACKED. lol. It was kind of funny. So here's my dilemna...I do want to lose weight but I swear, those pills are insane! Anyone who's ever taken one would tell you that. I'm pretty sure they're addictive since they're an amphetimine. I dunno...is it worth it to lose almost 100 lbs? The lady at the clinic said I needed to lose 4 lbs a week to stay in the program. Is it just me, or does that sound like a little much to you? But they told me that as long as I took the pills as they were prescribed I would most likely lose the weight.
We'll see what happens...I'm going back Monday to get weighed and see if I met my 4 lb goal for the week. Something just tells me this stuff is bad news. What do you think?
