Have you ever had money taken out of your account with your authorization?

I set up an account, back in June, to start working with a debt settlemnt company. After a while, for some reason, I had some misgivings about it, so I did some more research on the company, and I found somethings that weren't not good. So, I cancelled my account, and went with someone else. These people had a better standing with the BBB.
Anyway, last week, I was checking my online banking, and found I was in the hold because this first company withdrew money from my account. I got ahold of someone, and long story short, the CS people told me they would refund me the money, it would take 3-5 days. I waited until today, and it still wasn't there. I called them back, and they told me the banking service they used was suppose to cut me a check, but if I needed the money faster, I should talk to my bank.
This is what I ended up doing. I talked to my bank, and they're doing what they can to get my money back. I'm glad that it's going to get fixed, but it should have never happened in the first place. I'm just hoping that I'll get back the NSF and extended fees that this all cost me.

I had that happen to me once, someone used my debit card number and bought a computer with it. I had to wait six weeks for my bank to fix it and reimburse me my money, and had to borrow the money to cover the cost and any subsequent overdraft fees. It was a mess, but finally resolved.

At least you got it resolved. I'm just wondering how I'm going to make my house payment and other payments. Essentially, the money that was taken were two car payments, care insurance, etc. This is not going to be a fun month.

I feel for you. Luckily my sister helped me out. Could you take out a payday loan? I actually recommend against it, but if you have no other option, maybe take one out, and pay it back ASAP as soon as it gets resolved. They charge ballooned interest, like 80% or so, so it is only a desperate measure.
Maybe get an advance check from your employer? Explain to them the situation, and maybe they can help.

I don't know what we'll do. I'm sure we'll manage. There's no way I'm doing a payday loan. We did that for 3-4 months, back to back, until we got our income tax money. It helped stop the cycle.
