Whenever I go shopping with my mother she would take hours looking at pots and pans and then as I try to pull her away, she'll get stuck at the blenders section. I try to pull her away again and she stops at the plate displays. I want to spend time with her but I guess next time I better bring my ipod of something. Ever get stuck shopping with someone and looking at something you have no interest in?

haha i have the same experience too. Mums are always interested in those stuff and my mother too. i think you bring an ipod is a good way to spend time with your mother and at the same time entertain yourself. i think i am willing to spend as much time as i can to be with someone i like..

Yea, interests are always different with parents and their kids but time spent together with someone you care about is also important. I will have a fully loaded playlist really for my next mother-daughter shopping experience.

I guess i will be like your mother in the near future. Thankfully my husband doesnt get bored of my new interest. I have been planning to upgrade my kitchen since a long time...n i make it a point to look at the kitchen section whenever we go for shopping.
shopping always brings a kind of pleasure to me, be it anything under the sun. I particularly do not like window shopping coz i feel it wastes time and energy, both our and the shopkeepers.

It is great your husband has the patience with your interest. I should also be thankful my mother takes her time to involve our kitchen but no way I'm forgetting to bring my own entertainment next time I go shopping with her.

Ha ha, I think I can understand her feeling. I love looking at the kitchen wares too, it's apart from my window shopping. Seeing those new and modern wares are joy. Besides, some are out of my budget, what's wrong with just looking? Luckily, my mom feels the same way as I am so no one pulling another away.

It is a joy I cannot understand yet but hopefully when I have my own place, I would enjoy shopping with my mother for kitchen tools.

Haha, I can relate to you! My mom is obsessed with Bed Bath & Beyond and she's always stuck in the utensils departments- not like she doesn't have enough. I sigh and groan and do everything to let her know that I'm sick of it, but she doesn't get the message. However, now I know how she feels when she goes clothes shopping with me.

I guess I shop for things she's not very excited about either. We'll just have to be patience with each other
