What classical musician would you consider as a rock star?

yeah, beethoven was the most rock star-like i think. wild hair, unkempt clothes, sometimes vulgar demeanor as he was impatient and impertinent because of his deafness, had a piano in his apartment floor without its four feet/posts, and his music could be really loud - he reinvented the orchestra to suit his music. the first time i heard symphony no. 5, it was like rock music.

I think if you look at the way he lived his life, if Mozart were alive today he'd definitely be up there with guys like Axl Rose, trashing hotel rooms, punching out paparazzi and sleeping with groupies. He was kind of a wild child in his time. Hell some of the things he did, he was a wild child in our time!
