Is FF working for you yet? Mine seems to be all but fixed...well the crashes at least. Every now and again a tab will close and then open in a new window lol

Believe it or not I never got around to downloading the newer Firefox and still have the old Firefox 2 version
Some of my friends began complaining about the newer versions as well, like losing all their bookmarks--so now I'm reading about your problem and might just stick with the older version--at least I don't have problems with it

If you try the newest one out, let me know. I was using version 3.0 sooo I was just as bad LOL The crashing problems have cleared up - I think they did an update - but every once and awhile a tab that is open on one window will close and open in a second window.

well i used the latest version of fire fox but due to some reasons i was not very comfortable with the same and so decided not to use it. and so i un intalled the latest one and then installed the old version and i am still using the same and feel very comfortable with that. i think there are few bugs in the new version and so i will be waiting for the better version and then install the same.

I have similar problem with new Firefox browser. Especially, It getting worst on old PC which it makes my CPU load goes to 100% without any reasons. It's working normal on my new PC (Intel DualCore-CPU) with 20-30% load. Both PC's running on WindowsXp Pro SP3. I think new Firefox work on new CPU type. What's your CPU type?

I don't think the processor type - which I do have an AMD Dual Core - has anything to do with the program crashing.

The only problem i have with the new firefox is that sometimes it loads slowly on some sites and when I have been using the browser for a long period of time. But I think it is not a problem with the browser but some sites are becoming so congested as a result of many people are visiting those particular sites. Also many applications loaded at the same time may use a lot of RAM that can affect the overall system performance. I have just minor problems with the newest firefox that I had stated above. If you have problems with firefox in your computer try opera. I also use it interchangeably with firefox.

I am sorry to hear that. I used internet explorer exclusively. I tried Firfox one time and it never worked right on my computer. I switched it back to internet explorer and have not had any problems with it.

Hey,
No Firefox 3.5 doesn't actually crash for me, I would say that Firefox for me is the most stable browser I have used. For some reason both Opera and Internet Explorer 8 kept on crashing, but I have had no problems with Firefox 3.5. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
