do you watch movies on your computer??

I was just curious as to how many people watch movies on there computer?? I have never done this... only once or twice have I gone to a tv station website and watched 2 episodes of a sitcom that I missed... it was nice to have that there so I was able to stay up on that sitcom. However, I have never done this with a movie!
The reason I ask is because Netflix commercials says that you can get the movies in the mail or you can watch them immediately on your computer... I never thought of doing this --however our tv is losing its color and I might want to set up some movies on my computer for us to watch --at least the color would be right!! 
Is it easy to do?? I would be watching mostly kids movies, but then I dont have a problem with that since we have cartoons on all day!!!

Well sometimes if I rent a movie i'll rip it to my computer and watch it on their some other time

other people buy satellite to get a lot of channel on their TV, Other people rent, or sometime buy even a DVD. But why spend money if you can watch it online on movietunie.com. they don't have it all but worth checking it out.

Many people here have the habit of watching movies on their computers because it is quite convenient. You can search for you favorite movies and download them to your computer, and most of these are for free. They don't like watch TV because there are many commercials to break when they enjoy their movies.

It's great to watch a movie on the computer. The thing is, cinemas can be good and excellent, but nothing beats the privacy and peace you get in your own room. Understanding the dialogues is very important for any movie and I have noticed that people talk a lot in cinemas and finding quiet is quite hard.

I can agree with that... it has been sometime since I have been to a movie theatre however there is always talking when there and at home you can always pause, rewind and relax in the privacy of your own home.

I have a 22 inch moniter and when I watch movies using windows media it looks really blury. How do I make the visuals better

Hi bookreadermom08! I have recently found out that you can watch movies and some tv shows on youtube. I have been watching a lot of movies on youtube here lately. They have a lot of my favortites. I watched "A Patch Of Blue" one night. I have also watched "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner", "Imitation Of Life", "Mommie Dearest". I've watched a few others but I can't remember what they were. I have also watched a lot of music videos on youtube. Kathy.

I think alot of people feel that way too... that the computer is work only and to relax you need the tv.

yes my friend i have a stock of movies on my computer and i watch them on my computer. i like to watch them on my computer because it is in my room and so i can watch the movies at my ease lying on my bed. and that is something which i enjoy a lot. i have right now more than 100 movies in my personal collection.

that makes sense having it in your room you get to sit back and relax and watch your movies with out being interupted by everyone else either wanting the remote or changing the channel on you....LOL

I don't like watching movies on my computer because the sound isnt that great so i prefer watching movies on the big screen so if i download a movie I put it on my jump drive then put it on my ps3 and can watch it on my tv which is the reason why I love my ps3 so much.

i watch movies on my computer sometimes. it's nice to be able to do that.. its close to my bed too so i can always on there and still see my screen perfect. i only do it at night though if i watch one. during the day its too hard for me to sit here and watch one.

I watch movies on my computer all the time. I don't watch TV much these days so my computer has become my main source of information. Besides I prefer to watch movies on my computer than on telly.

Yes, I do watch movies on my 17 inch screen laptop. The subscription to Nexflix is definitely worth the $8 monthly fee. All genres to choose from and you can watch movies instantly. However, there are some movies that you have to order through the mail. The best thing about Netflix is that there are no late fee and you can keep the movie as long as you want it, send it back when you are ready for the next movie. You can cancel whenever you want. With Netflix, I get to watch several movie a night on my laptop.

I still havent had the time to do that with netflix..but I am going to!! I havent been home much lately, but when my son gets back to school and I am home more often I am going to start watching movies online.

Yes I like to watch some movie on my computer, Usually I use my laptop to watch computer with my friends, but I just not use my laptop, I also use a projector and a good sound system to watch movie on my computer. Just rent the movie DVD or download it, turn off the room's lamp and turn on the laptop, projector and the sound system. Watch it with my friends or my girlfriend. I will feel like watch the movie at the cinema. I love it

I watch Netflix monies on my computer all the time. I think it is a great feaure from Netlix and the quality of the movie is excellent.

I have used the comp to watch movies when I have traveled.It is a good way to pass time on long road trips.. I have also used the notebook to watch some sitcoms on YouTube that are no longer aired on TV.
I used to subscribe to Netflix DVDs, never tried the other option. Good luck with that!

I never have watched a movie on the net, but I think I might start checking into that option...this way the kids can watch the cartoons and I can watch more my movies...LOL

I think movies should be watch on cinema,but on the other hand, I just have a few times in the cinema, I will buy the movie dvd and watch on the computer, not for other but convenience. Sometimes I also watch movie on the internet.

I watch many movies on the C VIA netflix, on the 1 CD in the mail option which includes all the Movies you want to watch on-line. Easy to setup of course having a able connection helps.

I have been watched movies on the internet since the day we got a decent internet connection. Even now when I am writing here, I have a naruto shippudden episode in another tab. I have watch complete naruto, naruto shppuden, dragon ballz, dragon ball GT, numerous hindi and english movies all for free. I have even downloaded some movies via torrent.
I have also got some popular sites for watching latest english and hindi movies. Here they are...

In this site, you will get a link for asian movies on the top left corner of the site layout. There you can watch Korean, Thai, chinese and japanese movies for free online and no registration is required
