Usually I cook from scratch but every once in a while, I like to cook somthing quick and easy that does not require me to cook. I love Hamburger Helper Lasagnia and Hamburger Helper Tuna Tetrazini. What is your favorite quick and easy convenience meal to make?

Well the most easiest for me to cook are noodles, egg and hotdog. Some foods easy to fry , you can also include that too. If I don't have much time to prepare, i would be cooking the easiest menu possible, like a simply saute or stir fry veggies would do.

I like to fix pancakes and sausage on Sunday mornings. It's really the only day of the week that we take our time getting around.
I use the Aunt Jemima Pancake powdered mix, and all you have to do is measure it out and add water. It's about $1.94 a box. Then I take some Farmland sausage patties and put them in the microwave. Normally, I don't like microwaved meat, but these are the exception to the rule. They have been a little less than $1.50 for a box of 5 with a coupon on the box here lately. And we usually get at least 2 meals out of the box.
So, for less than $2.00 (I'm rounding up on the pancakes), we have breakfast at home. And we get to sit around and relax and just fix it whenever we wake up. Plus, it is a lot cheaper to make coffee and tea at home as well!

Hot dogs. Actually hot dogs with canned chilli to be specific. Just heat the hot dogs up on the stove, open up a can of chili heat that up on the stove, put the hot dog on some bread or a bun, and pour some chillin on it, and the sprinkle it with some shredded cheddar cheese. Yum Yum, can not get better than that. Also if there are any hot peppers on hand I like to cut some of those up and throw them on there too. Now I am hungery.

Does microwave popcorn count? If not then taco salad, brown some hamburger meat, add some red kidney beans and serve over a bed of plain Doritos, garnish with cheese and salad, Pace Picante sauce is optional but highly recommended. It takes about 10 minutes to make and two minutes to eat.

My favorite convenience food to cook is to order pizza :-) lol - I guess that doesn't count! My family doesn't like Hamburger Helper, so I can't use that as a convenience :-( I like to make popcorn shrimp and macaroni and cheese. It is really quick and everybody loves it! I also like to make casseroles. I really like tuna casserole and chicken noodle casserole.

When I'm not in the mood to cook and there's not much in the house, my old faithful is just plain old spaghetti - no sauce. In fact we had it last night since today is grocery day and the cabinets are sparce. We just boil the noodles, drain, add about a tablespoon of butter, mix good. Then we put parmesan cheese on top (salt & pepper too). It's so easy and simple but we all really love it. Oh yea, we try to do garlic bread if we have some, otherwise, it's just noodles. BTW, I like hamburger helper too sometimes. And Old El Paso dinner kits.

Most of the time, I am the one who is cooking at home and my mom really wants a meal that is complete- pork/fish/meat is combined with vegetables. She don't really like a meal that is purely meat. So I really cook from scratch and have to prepare it few minutes she will be leaving or arriving home. But whenever she is not at home, the quickest and the easiest that I could cook are either: instant noodles, fried fish or fried chicken. Or I could simply open up a can of Tuna or can of corned beef or a can of sardines or a can of spam and just heat it and I am sure that I would still have a delicious with a full stomach.

I used to be the queen of cooking convenience food when I was cooking for a total of 9 people per night. Now that I am just cooking for my husband, two children and myself, I find that I don't use very much convenience food. But, my favorite one to make when I find myself being lazy is meatball subs. Just get a bag of precooked meatballs, a jar of pasta sauch, mozerella cheese and buns. Cook the meatballs in the sauce until they are hot and then serve. I do always make a vegetable to go along with it.

Usually my favourite convenience foods are things like frozen pizza's or frozen pies, i usually buy a frozen pie as i dont have time to make one from scratch and then buy fresh potatoes and vegtables to go with it. Id love to be able to cook every meal from scratch but i just dont have the time.
