What makes you respond to a discussion on myLot?

Is it random? Do you only respond to friend's discussions? Do you only respond to stuff in a particular interest, like politics? For me, I use the myLot digest e-mail each day, and I try to respond to as many of the discussions in it as possible. Whenever I can think of something to say, I will respond.

Its not exactly random from me.I mainly respond to discussions from my interest,or which are started by my friends.I only respond to them if i have at least a little knowledge about that particular topic.I don't just respond to discussion to increase my count,I do it when i think i should do.

Sometimes I respond just to increase my count. For instance, there are a lot of discussions about what browser you use, those I just respond for the count. Thanks for your response

Well first I look on my home page to see if there is any interesting discussions in there, which are top discussions, friends discussions, my discussions, and discussions I have responded too. If there is nothing interesting there then I usually go on questions and answers, which is my favorite topic. After I answer there than I look anywhere for any discussions that might interest me, and in someway I can respond to them.

I always read MyLot digest, and sometimes I respond to a couple of the discussions from the digest, but it depends on the topics. I also look at the discussions that my friends have started, and I respond to those discussions if I can relate to the topics and if I feel that I have something to say about those topics. I have chosen many, many different interests, and I always look at the discussions from my favourite interests like life, people or traveling. Sometimes I like to look at the discussions from the "small" interests or the interests that I don't use very often. I also like to read the disussions with no responses and the top discussions.

The first thing that i do is respond to the discussions that my friends have started if i can add to them. The second thing that i do is go through discussions from my interests, and respond to the ones that i think that i can add something to. The third thing that i do is usually check out the tab for the ones that got no responses and see what i can respond to. then i check out the tab for new users and see whats going on their.

Such a nice discussion! Thanks for opening it. I do 50% of responses randomly on the discussions of my interests and 50% form the top discussions of the day. I also do respond to my friends discussions. I also feel compelled to respond to the comments received to the discussions started by my. It would be rather un-gentlemanliness not to do so........

Hi, i am one who start discussions, i don t like to much to answer to the questions, but sometimes, when i like to much a subject, as i like now, i will answer ...so, i like strange questions, and i try to start strange questions; and now i like your question...so, i answer

I just reply to a discussion that interests me. I don't care if it was made by one of my friends here or not. It would be a shame to limit myself to discussions that my friends started and miss out on the other good discussions here. I'm pretty sure that many myLotters are doing the same.

I just randomly scan the discussions section and if a particular subject interests me or if something prompts me to respond then I usually do. I like responding to unique and spontaneous discussions since I see that some posts are a bit repetitive. So, the more unique the post thread is, the more likely i'd respond to it.

I have to be able to say something that isn't in the question I think. If people say 'do you prefer A or B' then I am unlikely to respond but if they ask for advice or an opinion on something then I will answer if I know something about the topic.

Hi K46620, Firstly, saying truth, I have no time to repond to discussions.. Because most of the time I spend in commeting the responses I recieve for my discussion. Normally I get more than 25 responses for my discussions. I really wonder.. But in the middle I too respond discussions that really suits me... I normally respond to my friend's discussions. Then my interest and then top discussions.. Have a nice day always.. Cheers

I basically respond to discussion in my intersts. I find the ones that look the most interesting and respond to them. I move all around and go from interest to interest, that way, I am spreading my respoonses out and I am not putting them all under one interst. I also will do a search for discussions I might be interested in. It is hard to find good discussions, and when I don't fine any, then I will just take a break for awhile and the other sites that I need to do. It gives more users a chane to post new discussions. I just responded to a discussion a little bit ago, that is 3 years old. So, it really doesn't matter how long they have been on the board, as if I am inerested in them, I will respond to them. Good luck to ou and happy mylotting.
