I really do! It can't be just any puzzle but something really pretty and interesting. Like the one I'm doing now is back in the old days when things were so much nicer and much slower than it is today. It's an old gas station that several puppies are having a bit of fun. lol Picture is displayed at the bottom. I love kittens and cats (of course!) and cottages on the lake and other living creatures such as ladybugs, butterflies and/or ducks. It has 1000 pieces to it which will take a while for me to do but I do so enjoy doing it! lol It's one thing that I DON'T take after my mom because she hates puzzles and history and I love them both!! lol Do you like doing puzzles?

I get distracted easily and lose concentration. I need to have a place that a puzzle can stay up for a very long time. I liked doing them with my kids, who are both avid puzzlers. I think it is good for your brain.

I like doing puzzles too, although it has been a long time since I have done one. Its so relaxing to sit there and work a puzzle, then when it is finished its so pretty and also rewarding. Have fun.

You've said it right! It is fun and very relaxing to do and in the end it looks so pretty and yeah rewarding to finally have it done but then it's like, shoot, I've got to find another one to do! lol After I put it together, I'll let it sit for a few days or a week or so and then I'll put it back in the box and it'll go in the yard sale pile. Some day I plan on having a yard sale but don't know when but it's too dang hot to do right now....

Really? Who told you that? I don't consider myself all that intelligent but I do try to work on my knowledge of things. I do a lot of research before saying anything about any one subject to be sure I'm on the right track. Jigsaw puzzles don't really take a lot of intelligence, I don't think but hey, thanks for the compliment!! lol

yess..i do like doing puzzles, some puzzles is quite hard for me and i end up not finishing it. actually doing puzzles make our brains more active, in my case when my head temperature start to rise while i'm doing puzzles, that's the indication of my self getting snapped, blurred and puzzled?? hmm..get what i mean??? Puzzled?

I completely understand! lol Puzzles aren't for everybody. I enjoy them very much and I have it on a folding table so it won't be in the way so I can take as much time as I need or want to finish it. This one will take me about 2 weeks to a month to finish. I'm in no hurry.

I greatly enjoy doing puzzles unfortunately I haven't had a whole lot of time lately and I have one in the works. It is a Tiger in the water with lots of plants and flowers surrounding it. This puzzle not only attracted me because of the picture but for the fact that the pieces are all wood. I enjoy ones of animals, cottages, lighthouses or anything done by Thomas Kinkade. I do so wish that I had more time to devote to them though. I enjoy glueing them together afterwards and then framing them to use on my walls.

I love Thomas Kinkade too!! He paints such beautiful pictures, doesn't he? Makes me wish I lived in one of his far away places by the water. lol Oh put me in dream land! lol I've never heard of a wooden puzzle. That has to be right neat to work with. Where did you get such a thing? I've glued a few together but then they end up behind my dresser or stored somewhere because I'm at a loss at how to hang it without it falling apart and framing them is very expensive.

I love doing those jigsaw puzzles. The only problem with the 1000 piece ones is that it usually takes me a few days to complete it. I just leave it on the table to finish off later. I enjoy doing the Landscape puzzles. I also like doing those 3-D puzzles too.

I have a folding table that I use to do my puzzles so that it doesn't take up any space like the kitchen table or counter space. I put a towel over top the puzzle when I'm done working on it so that the pieces will all still be there when I get back to it. It takes me about 2 weeks to a month to finish a 1000 piece puzzle like I have now. I've included the picture of it, did you see it?

LOL Not many people do gabs so don't feel left out! I love them, always have since I was a little girl. My mom used to say that I would study each of the pieces before I'd place them and then later on, I'd know which piece went where just like that! lol I wish I knew how to do graphics and layouts on the computer but I haven't a clue where to start!

Jigsaw puzzles and I are archenemies. They are steadfast, patient and arrogant. I am impatient, easily agitated and im still convinced im smarter, though our encounters make me question that last one! When our paths do cross the experience is maddening for me and probably satisfying in a sadistic way for the puzzle. Inevitably the whole encounter is usually no more than 5 minutes, quickly reaching a climax of outraged frustration and more often than not some form of physical violence on my part. The fact that the puzzle isnt actively fighting back to make it harder, but merely has to sit there in its calm arrogance, and STILL wins makes me hate them even more! Bummer thing is that ive seen some really beautiful ones that i would love to be able to finish and then put the seal stuff on them and frame them. But alas the dream of a complete framed jigsaw puzzle by my own two hands adorning the wall is never likely to happen..much like a lot of men dream of being a heap bigum hunter with the big game stuffed head on the wall in the den...its a pipedream. I think that about sums up my opinion of jigsaw puzzles LOL!

hello CatsandDogs, My family and I solved also a puzzles with 1000 and 2000 pieces. It took us months before finally completing it. The 1000 was a garden with a house picture while the other one was a house near the pond with swans swimming in it. After that, we have it framed and displayed it in the living room. During the first puzzle which was the 1000 pcs, we find it so hard and challenging for the colors were almost the same. But then when we were able to complete the first one, my family decided to buy a new one this time it's double the number.

I love puzzles too, so that makes the two of us. I am a puzzle-addict and I am actually collecting puzzles even before I entered college, some of them are no longer with me (my friends borrowed them and I cannot remember who borrowed which puzzle). I think it's fun and very interesting game to play with.

I have a pile of them myself that I've put in the yard sale pile. lol I hope they sell for every penny helps with my parents but I've got to have some enjoyment in my life somewhere sometime but when I sell them, my parents will get the money for they need it so bad. I'm constantly giving them cash to help them out. Anyway, like you, I'm an avid puzzle person!

Do you mean crossword puzzles? I can't do them. I wish I could but I don't have a very high vocabulary. I'm hearing impaired so it's harder for me to up my vocabulary although I do try. I'm amazed at others when they do them because of their high vocabulary. It helps me to learn new words through them.

Yeah I like doing puzzles a lot. But there comes an exception in doing them such as sudoku which has no logic at all - that means after completing one successfully you do not gain any useful information about the next, that is there is no likeliness of completion of the next. do you know that doing puzzles, not only the complex ones ordinary ones like rotation riddles, etc are useful in the growth of brain or perhaps logic. Seems to be a child's play but the one who goes to the higher level in the respective puzzles knows the toughness, challenge and above all the pleasure he derives from it.

I never thought of it that way but yeah, you're right! It does take a certain toughness because it is a big challenge to take on but I really enjoy doing it because it relaxes me and takes my mind off of other things.

i do like puzzles a lot. i don't do them often but when i do, i enjoy it. i mostly like things like sudoku or detective games(i.e. clue) and things like that. i guess they're part of the puzzle genre so yep :D i don't like crossword puzzles as much though. maybe it's the lack of my vocabulary but i can never solve a puzzle and it bugs me so so much. so i stick to sudoku which i am good at. recently, I've been really into ken ken too. (it's like sudoku but revamped.)

I hate puzzles even jigsaw puzzle. I'm not good at it at all and I'm not interested to try it again. My sister's friend give her jigsaw puzzle I think it is 1000 pcs. Up to now she can't continue to finish it. I try to do it but I lose my patience to find the match of every single pieces. I don't a patience in doing that like also in cross stitch I always made a mistake to follow the pattern. I think because of my poor eyesight that's why I don't like them.

I also like puzzles and cross-stitch as well. I also love board games and word or number quizzes. These are my pass time favorites. I like to do things with pattern because it stimulates my mind. Things like what I said enhance my analytical skills and rational thinking.

I too like cross stitching. I've been working on a project for years and years and I'll eventually get it done. It's so detailed and a lot of work. Puzzles are relatively easier to do and I do them when I need a break away from the everyday life.

I love doing puzzles also. But, like you, they need to be interesting. Once I did a thousand piece puzzle in a week, because someone said that I couldn't. It was a puzzle with giant sized jelly beans that looked so real that I was eating jelly beans that entire time that I was working on it. I hope you enjoy doing your puzzle.

That's pretty darned good!! I don't think I could do one in a week or my eyes would look just like this lol I can't imagine doing one of candy or jelly beans for I'd be like you, eating what I'm putting together. lol That wouldn't work on this body, there's enough weight on it already! LOL

Hi Hatley!! Long time no see!! Where have you been?! In any case, GREAT to see you!! I can't do crossword puzzles because my vocabulary isn't my best asset. I guess it's due to my hearing loss but I like seeing other people do them for it does help build my vocabulary some. I like the table type of jigsaw puzzles better than the internet. I don't know why but it is what it is. lol It may take me a while to put together but I do finish them all eventually.....

I enjoy puzzles too, but I like logic puzzles better than picture puzzles. I also like word find puzzles and those where you are given a mystery to solve (like a detective puzzle). I'd like to buy a puzzle like the one you have, but I'm afraid that I may not finish it not because I don't have the patience to do so but because I may not find enough time to do it with all the other things I'm doing.

Once you get all your other projects done then maybe you could try out a jigsaw puzzle. Try one of the smaller ones first to see if you'll like it or not then go from there. It's not for everybody but those who like it really do and those who don't really don't. lol

I go through phases with doing puzzles. I really enjoy them, but sometimes i don't have the patience to sit and put one together. Also, as i have a couple of cats, i have a hard time finding a PLACE to do them, as if i don't finish, and have to let it sit for the night, there is a good possibility that when i wake up in the morning, they will have taken off with at least a couple of pieces! I have many many finished puzzles hanging on my walls. Once i put that much time and effot into something, i just can't throw it in a box and take it apart again LOL, so i keep them all. Instead of using that puzzle glue that they sell (as it is expenzive and takes a while to dry) i just buy big rolls or clear mailing tape, and carefully layer it over the top of the puzzle in strips, and then flip it over and layer it in the opposite direction (horizontal/vertical) on the back, then trip the edges off. Gives it a nice, sturdy laminated surface and makes them easy to hang up. Just a tip for ya.

Imagine this, I have 11 cats! lol Not by choice though because 5 of them are strays that have adopted us and we have 1 rescue. 3 of them stay outside all the time, their choice but the others come and go as they please. I put my puzzle on a folding table and then when I'm finished working on it, I'll put a towel over top of it so my cats won't knock any off. BTW, thanks for the tip!!

I like doing puzzles with my girlfriend sometimes, currently we're working on a 1000 piece puzzle that has some wolves on it. I also enjoy puzzle video games sometimes, but in general puzzle games really aren't my thing.
