It was funny for me to hear my co - worker to say, he applied for 1 week vacation to bring his family to Myrtle Beach again. If my memory serves me right, I remember last year, he took his family to Myrtle Beach too; and the year before last year, he went to the same place. I was just curious, is he ever get tired of going to the same place every year? If it is for me, I would, definitely. Nonetheless, it wasn't my business to say anything. Would it be bored to go to the same place every year for vacation?

I would get really bored if I went to the same place each year. I love to travel to a different area of the world on each trip that I do. This year I went to South Africa and last year I went to the Baltic Countries. I have been to 52 different countries so far in my lifetime. I wish to visit as many more as possible in the future. Your co-worker likes routine and the same every year is exactly that.

We have never been able to afford a "family vacation", we have taken a 2 trips with friends to celebrate our anniversaries thou. Both times we went to different places. I like going to different places so that I can learn more and see more places. I have always wanted to travel and finally got to!
However I would love to go back to Gettysburg Pa and take the kids with us. The place is so rich in history and makes you really imagine and think. It is also fun and there is lots of walking and even hiking depending on where you go.

My daughter and I go to Las Vegas every year. We live in different states so vacation is a great time to be able to meet and spend some fun time together once a year (without the husbands). We have a blast. Vegas changes itself constantly so there is always something new to see. Besides, that city has the best public transportation system in the country (no need to drive) and the best restaurants too. Also you just can't beat the wonderful shows. I don't think you can ever see everything in one visit there. We take some other trips too, but Vegas is a tradition with us.

Traveling to th same place every year is a routine that maybe safe and convenient for some people. I have to admit that I travel to the same destination twice a year, every year. Most of my family lives in California, it would be more expensive for all of them to come to Florida to see just me, so instead of them traveling I take a trip to see them at Christmas and Summer vacation(from June to August). We do lot of fun activities and travel to other places so we don't get bored.

Usually we don't go on vacation, but when we do it is usually to the same place, with a few exceptions.

My family does it as well. Every year since I was 8 my family has either gone to Las Vegas, L.A., or Yosemite. We've gone so much that I remember every part of the bus tour at Universal Studios down to the order of the visits. Though we've gone so many times, it's still fun. It is just revisiting the place where you found your memories and vacation at a place you're familiar. ^~^ Went to Yosemite this year.

My parents do the same thing. In the very north of Denmark there is a town called Skagen, and my parents have been there about 50 times. They always spend their holiday there, it is a nice place, but I never really understood why they keep going to back to the same place over and over instead of visiting new places. Personally I don't like to visit the same place many times, I prefer to "explore" a new place every time I get the chance to travel, and I have visited most areas of my country.

I was an ex home based travel consultant. I must say, I like visiting and travelling to new places so I can offer good tips and tell my clients what they can expect from these places. Many expatriates I know took the opportunity of being here and discovered many European cities. Now I'm pre-retired... still love travelling to different destinations.
The last one dated back April when we went on a Mediterranean cruise, sailing from Savona (Italy), then down to Athens (Greece). Sailed further to Izmir (Turkey); Rhodes (Greece); Limassol (Cyprus); returned via Alexandria (Egypt) and Rome (Italy). I just loved it, travelling and visiting a few countries in one go. I certainly recommend that you go on a cruise. Cheers.
