What do you do to relax?

In this tough economy everyone is always so frazzled. I know that I am working a good job, but still having trouble making ends meet at times. On the weekends, I like to go to the beach. It's away from everything and I can watch the sailboats, the kids can play by the shore and build sand castles. I can feel the sand in my toes and be away from all the noise of the city. I go to a beach that has about 5 other people that go to it. So it's pretty private, not crowded at all and the best way that I can relax after a long work week. What do you do to relax?

I do yoga, or I listen to music with my buds in and surf the web. I go for walks or ride my mountain bike on the greenbelt here. I can stop and play in the sand of the river that funs along the greenbelt. I light insense and close my eyes and meditate. All these things are very relaxing and help me very well.

I love meditating. For some reason I do it more in the winter. I don't know if it's the fact that we have more darkness than light so I feel I need to visual more light in my life in the winter.

Well thats such a nice way of relaxing, by the beach. Well i would love to go to beach, but we dont have a beach in our city. So, i just prefer to go down to an amusement park and let my son play while i just have some rest.

I agree that anything that will make my kids happy and they can play will relax me. If I stay at home they drive me crazy all day then I feel very stressed out!

We love to go camping to relax. Unfortunately, it's been a while since we have been able to take off and go. I also enjoy listening to music, reading, painting, or even taking the dog out for a walk. It's been years since we've been to the ocean. How blessed you are to have that option!

to relax,I treat myself to my favorite food at the end of the week.I'll have burgers and fries from Burger King or indulge in a huge can of cheese Pringles.I surf the internet and play games.I listen to songs in my IPod.I watch cute and funny videos.most of the time, when I want to relax I spend time alone.

That sounds like a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the week. We dont really have beaches like that where I live unfortunately and the weather is usually rubbish. I like to watch movies, read or play poker with my partner to unwind on the weekend. If the weather is nice we like to take walks along the seafront and eat icecream!

I think icecream has the effect of subconciously giving us those great childhood memories. I don't think anyone ever feels bad when they eat it. Unless they have an allery or are lactose intolerant...lol.

I always look forward to my yoga class every week, it's a a time where I can just release all the stress and worries that had built over the week. I also pop in a soothing ocean wave sound CD and concentrate on it, it really helps me to relax.

I love the way you relax on weekends. I love water, the beach and people. That would be my ideal relaxation idea if we were near a beach however I would have to stay in the shade. I relax by playing on the computer, watching television and working on craft projects. I have alot of free time now since I recently quit my little, part time job. I also enjoy taking care of our youngest grandbaby when I'm needed. I keep as busy as possible.
