But this time I have to say it. Here goes: Men!!!!!!!!!
I have been laughing for a few days now. At least every time I remember this one and specially the puzzled tone in my friend's voice as she was recounting the story as if she was doubting her hubby's sanity. I would be clueless as well and ready to call the guys in the white jackets LOL.
As her husband was buying something close to the supermarket, she hurried to the door and asked him to bring salad dressing. "The one that says tropical fruits" she said as he was getting in the car.
He came back a few minutes later, minus the salad dressing. At first she though he forgot about it, but learned differently as he took out his cell phone from his pocket and showed her the pictures he took of the supermarket shelves. "See? There is no salad dressing called tropical fruit! I checked and rechecked and even took the pictures for you to see."My friend says she just couldn't believe it. He used the cell phone to take the pictures, and didn't remember to use it to call her and clarify??????
Men!!!!!!!!!!!! They really are from Mars LOL
Has your hubby done anything silly lately? Or if you're the hubby, did you do any sillies lately? LOL

Proof is good. She asked for Tropical Fruit Dressing. That was clear. That is almost exactly what I would have done. No need to call and clarify, they don't have what she asked for.
Now, before you think I am completely nuts, I do understand that the dressing she probably wanted was called something else and had tropical fruits in it or some jazz like that.
My advise, NEVER EVER, be unspecific when sending a guy to the store. Give him enough information that even if the store doesn't carry it, he can as a clerk. And come on seriously...CALL AND ASK, and then she treats you like your dumb and never listen....not saying he listens, but better to ask forgiveness then be treated with exasperation.
I do silly things like that all the time. I can take the abuse. My Mom, did a lot when she sent us to stores and we messed up as kids. But some guys just can't handle the pressure of not being right.
Cheers.

LOL I know what you mean about being specific.
But really...
Actually she was aware that she hadn't explained herself in the best way, if he called she would have made no jokes. But at the same time I can see what you mean .... God! But ... please.... the pictures? LOL
If it had been me, Hubby would do the combo: pictures+call. He would bring the dressing but he would still have the pictures as proof hehehehe

Well I used to really like to say "guys are dumb, girls are silly, just make the best of it" We can't all think rationally all the time, I wish we could I really do, there would be so much less frustration in the wonderful world of mine.
Cheers.

That is pretty funny. I don't know what it is with guys, but I, along with a load of other women, could really tell you some interesting stories about them. I have no idea why men do the things they do, or why we even keep them around for that matter, if they are going to do weird things like that. LOL
