The first item that I bought on the internet was a cellphone accessory. I was hesitant and had doubts whether the item would arrive but it did.
How about you?

I am not 100% sure, but I think it was a book from Amazon as well.
It's funny to remember that and how unsure I was, since I buy sooooooooo much online now. It might have been a CD from somewhere. I remember I used to listen to music online and then go buy it in a store. I felt bad that "the little guy" store was having this huge internet competition, but then I started to feel bad that I was using the internet store to listen to a bunch of music I never bought from them. So, I started buying. I think I belonged to some club. CDNow? That is ringing a bell. I don't think they exist anymore. I think they were bought out by Amazon.
I have such mixed emotions about Amazon. I really have loved it for a long time but it is soooooooooo huge. But they do a good job, so what the heck. It is nice that they also have a used book marketplace for the "little guy" and for the sake of reusing.
