Cutting ONIONs;

What do you notice while cutting out the onions into pieces?However i have notice that my eyes got tears...I am not sure why should be like that.Anything you know regarding this,i would like to be the part of your knowledge. Please help me out,thank's.

keep your eyes open when cutting onions ,don't open and close because more tears will come .look the other way so the juice from the onions will not get to your eyes.better still, don't cut onions ,leave it to ginny hahaha!

Maybe there's a legend behind this, because is like that?You dont want cry but you can'nt help your self for crying unintentionally...thnx my friend and thnx for the advise.

My ears tear up as well. I've heard that if you chew gum while cutting the onions, it won't sting your eyes. I haven't been cutting onions recently so I haven't tried it but maybe you can. Hope it helps!

Hi animegirl334, Its funny but noOne can explain why cutting onion can make our eyes tears,not intentionally,thnx my friend.

Hey, I hate it when I cut up onions, I really start to have tears in my eyes. I am probably the worst when it comes to cut the onions, so many tears come out of my eyes, that it honestly looks like I am crying. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
