I don't like romantic comedies but Ido like romances. My favorite is Mayerling. It is the story of archduke Rudolph of Austria and his mistress.

Nothing but crime and crap going on in movies these days! But Nights in Rodanthe THE BOOK was fantastic... the movie sucked big time. The Notebook... I didn't read the book but the movie was fantastic.

I honsetly am not a big fan of romantic films. I kind of just dont enjoy the predictability of it all. In a film I want to be entertained and understand the whole escapism ideal but to me they are just not really that interesting. I will have a think about whether I have seen any good romantic films!

I love all Julia Roberts Movies like Pretty Woman and Notting Hill.Apart from them here are my three favorite romantic flicks.
1.Sleepless in Seattle (I watched it because I am big fan Of hanks but I find it better than I expect)
2.Kate and Leopold
3.A lot like love.
P.S. Worst romantic movie - Sweet November

Hi madugulagopi, for a good romantic film it would have to be the old black and white classic 'Now Vogauer' with Bette Davis, with the plain spinster transformed into a romantic figure. It was wonderful to see. The other one which stands out is a film version I saw of the opera 'Madame Butterfly', now that one lead to floods of tears at the end.

I liked watching the love stories. I can't wait until The Travelers Wife comes to pay per view. I agree with your picks of movies. Out of the ones mentioned I do believe 50 first dates is one of the most loving and romatic movies. How many woman can say their man would do the same for them? It is a very touching love story with some comedy in it which makes it even more better to watch.

I like movies which are simple in plot with no complicated sequences, and flashy and noisy songs.
Since you can relate to Telugu, I like Subhalekha of K. Wiswanath is a favorite.
In Hindi Rajnigandha is a classic.
In English Sound of Music wins hands down!
