You're probably going to make another comment about my age but the most satisfying hobbies I have are knitting and cross stitch. Mainly because the end products look nice and can be used.

Now that's not kind! I can see very well from your profile what age you are and the only comment (that I remember) that I made was intended to be complimentary, so please keep those teeth to yourself, Mrs Croc!
I also deal in small blobs of colour (which is what cross-stitch is about). That I don't painstakingly apply them one by one to a piece of cloth or canvas is my laziness! Handicrafts of any kind are much to be admired!

I love writing and drawing. It is a way for me to relax and get out my thoughts. I am a very creative person so I really enjoy things that allow me to be creative. I love writing stories (novels) and drawing images that either express my feelings or are images from dreams I have.

Reading. When I read, I learn new things thereby expanding the scope of my knowledge. I als learn from the mistakes of people and how people handle difficult situations.

I don't think I could pick one. I am usually satisfied with the end product whatever it is. I do have one thing which I am especially proud of which is a picture of "cats by the fireside" which hangs on a wall at my parents house. The main thing is fretwork and the detail is a mixture of paint and pokerwork. So overall, that particular thing has given me the most satisfaction but generally, I get just as much satisfaction from fretwork as I do from cross-stitch or going for interesting walks.

I love to knit. I have learned to knit while I am watching television. Crochet is harder to do without watching what you are doing. Knitting is very relaxing for me. I can knit a hooded baby sweater in a weekend.

I am creative. I love photography and altering them on the computer. I absolutely love it and can get lost in it for hours!
But I also love Ukrainian Egg Dyeing! It can take a week to finish one egg!
When I see the finished product of the egg, I am very satisfied! My sister says that I have way too much time on my hands of I am doing art on eggs. But I have always loved it. I used to paint little scenes and things on them. It is so fragile and one of a kind piece.

I am fascinated by Pysanki art, too. They are something that can be displayed forever in a display case and will become a family heirloom.

I enjoy playing the harmonica in my "spare time". I also like to play guitar, piano, violin, and a few other instruments as well. The melodica is also fun.
If I have time, I also like to make polymer clay art.
But I rarely have extra time anymore. The small bit I do have, I usually spend it online.

One hobby I have and love is fly fishing. I find it relaxing, plus I get to see so much beautiful nature while I am on the water.
I tie my own flies for fly fishing which makes it even more exciting and fun. It fun when you take someone fishing and they don't have the same flies as I do so we get to try quite a variety and usually don't come home empty handed.
It is 23 below zero with a wind chill of 34 below today. I can hardly wait for fishing season to open in April.

Wow. Choosing just one was more difficult that I thought.
I suppose reading would be my favorite, especially because is some way or other it encompasses most of my other hobbies. There aren't very many things that I like to do that I don't have at least one book about.
My husband laughs at me a little because I will read almost anything. I'm a pretty fast reader, unless I'm reading something I really want to slow down and fully experience, so it's not much of a commitment for me to finish a book once I choose to start it. I'll tell him that if there's one thing in an entire book, one thought that becomes a part of me afterwards, then the time spent on the book was worth it.
