Cell phones and other gadgets can be resuscitated by leaving it turned off in a bowl of uncooked rice. The rice sucks up the moisture! Have you ever dropped your mobile phone in the toilet and killed it? Or were you so stupid to swim half a lap with your ipod in your pocket? What did you do to resuscitate it?

I have gotten my cell wet. I even knew someone whose boyfriend threw their cellphone in the toilet. Usually, you just let it dry out. When it does it works, maybe not the same - but it's usable. This is interesting info that you have given here. I find that Nokia phones can withstand damage more than any others.

Yes, I dropped my handphone in the toilet long time ago. I had to pick it up because I don't want to lose any contact numbers and that time I won't be able to afford a new one. So I took out the battery, patted it dry and even took a screwdrive (a pen knife actually because the screw was so small) to operate it myself. After that I used a hairdryer to blow it dry. . Luckily it could still be use, it was a Nokia, the butterfly keypad model.

Once I took a shower while my phone was on my sink. It got very wet but after letting it dry for just a few days it suddenly worked again. :D

It should work. I am not sure though but i'd do anything to resuscitate expensive goods. :)

I will have to say, that I have never dropped my phone in any water, and that is lucky for me I guess. I just make sure that my phone is nowhere near water when I go to the toilet and when I wash my hands. But if it ever happens, I will have to try that. I have never heard of doing that before. I wish I had known about this, as m daughter had to repalce her phone as it got in water. She can't really afford that either, but she has to pay $50 ro replace it. She wasn't happy about it, but she only has a cell like I do, so she needs it. I will be sure to tell her not to throw the phone away or replace it. Thank you for the info. It will come in handy. Have a great day, and happy mylotting.
