Why am I still get notifications!?

I turned off my notifications for when my friends create a new discussion, not because I don't care what they have to say...but because I get soooo many emails that I just can't keep up. So, I turned them off, but I'm still getting them, WHY IS THAT? Will they ever stop? I only want my notifications on when I recieve new responders...mylot you are silly. Do you have this problem, or do you not mind the millions of emails a day? I probably wouldn't mind them so much if I didn't already get about 100 emails a day for my book revie site, people entering my contests at all hours of the day, and then I have to copy everything down to pick a winner at the end of the contest. I'm going crazy with all of these emails! So, does mylot send you email notifications for things that you don't even want?
