do you sometimes forget where you put such important things? or its just me and i am getting old. har har har. well i do hope that this is normal for it would be scarry to realize that its only me. the other night it was the remote for the tv. i guess that is but natural for i know there are a lot of you who fights about well the remote is. then i went out going for an errand and i forgot the receipt that i need to apy. iw net back home and ask my wife but she told me that i got it from the desk already. i can not seem to remember where i put it. and after 30 minutes of looking and thinking i found it inside my bag inside a brown envelope . then when i went back home i bought green tea for my wife. as far aa i can remember i put it inside the fridge. so when i was about to give it to her so she can drink it cold i can not see it inside the fridge. guess what? i saw it still inside the basket of my bike. am i wierd? or things like this sometimes happens with you?

It happened to me more often in every passing year, it is a sign of aging , my friend. Our memory cell is not that many left and sharp like when we are young. I am trying my best to make it a habit for putting my important documents and stuffs in a fix place to prevent me from forgetting where i store them , so far i manage to find whatever stuffs or document i need without going through big headache trying to locate them. I just have to keep it this way all the time. About tiny little stuffs, i always have to waste some times to search for them instead of remembering where i put them in the first place. lol!!

I do not forget where I put things - I am very organized and always put things "where they belong" so that will not happen.
My memory problems are a little different.
I will go into a room to get something or do something and I cannot remember WHY I went there! I will stand there trying to remember why I went to that room and after a few minutes I will give up and go back where I started to see if I can remember why I went to the other room or not. Most of the time I will remember a few minutes later and will go back to get or do what I started out for the first time. But, it is very frustrating, especially when it happens serveral times the same day.

i am an organized person as well. i put my things in its proper places and i think that is one place that my child can not touch. my things. even the payed bills i keep it nicely tuck inside a folder or envelope and it is all segregated. the tel. bills has its own folder and so as the electric bills and water bills. if you open my gabinet my clothes and my cds and dvds are neatly place and organized. that is why it came as a shock to me the other day when it happened. my wife said i might be a little tired i need to rest. but that happened only for a day or two. you are like my wife. she sometimes gets inside our room atleast four times in 2 minutes, because she kept forgetting what is the reason why she keep going there. its very frustrating for sometimes she burst into tears not remembering what it was.

It does get frustrating; but, I do not cry about it.
However, yesterday I LOST something and it still has not been found. I was in my kitchen preparing my husband's "lunch" that he takes to work with him. I emptied his lunch box from the day before (all that was in it was a small bag with a few candies in it). Since he works a 12 hr shift, I try to make sure he has some variety: sandwich, chips, fruit, drinks and a small bag with an assortment of small candies. I laid the bag with the candy on the counter next to his lunch box; prepared a sandwich and put it in the lunch box; added some grapes and a banana; and was going to take the bag into our pantry to refill it and get the chips when I noticed the bag was GONE! I checked the counter, the floor, and in the lunch box, no bag! I looked in the refrigerator, the drawers, the trash, and even in the dishwasher - no bag!
My son (age 24 who lives with us) saw me going "nuts" in the kitchen and he came in to find out what was wrong. I explained and HE searched the kitchen - no bag! I finally gave up and get a new bag and finished packing my husband's lunch box.
It has been more than 24 hours since the bag disappeared and no one has seen any sign of it. We still have not figured out how I could lose something in such a small open area; but, somehow I did it.

Not because you are getting old,it's natural you may become forgetful.I strongly disagreed this notion, because not only the older people tends to forget, even the young ones either.I can attest to the fact, because for sometime in my life I noticed I became forgetful. It occured after I had gone through a surgical procedure-the culprit was the anesthesia and the other contributing factor was deprived from sleep. When I got kids,I started to have sleepless nights for a long period of time.It was truly happening to me at the age of 35,out of my consciousness I find myself forgetting something, especially important things. My mind somewhat impaired and had memory lapses and I worried a lot because my work was entirely affected.Several times I forgot to endorse to my co-worker about the patient's follow procedures and the doctor got mad at me,though I made explanation that the blunder was unintentionally done, instead he told me,I'm still young to forget everything,he can't believe. So guys not only the oldies can be forgetful, but also the younger people.

not that is the good point i am looking for har har har, but it is true that anesthesia can make people who under went surgery become forgetful. but i am a dad so even i have a child i was not the one who went Csection, i have no operations so far so my forgetfulness can not be linked to the type of forgetfulness that you have. but for me during that day that i was forgetting what i was doing it was because of stress and too much in my mind. but your point is a good point, it does happen to people who under went operation. thanks a lot for the response and welcome to the wonderful world of mylot

That happens to me a lot. Even more often, I fond myself going from one room to another and then forgetting why I went into that room. At least once a day I have to holler "gunny why did I come downstairs?". Even my 12 year old son has been known to comment on my short-term memory problem. I hate to link it with old age, but it gets worse as time goesvon so there's probably a link. LOL.

oh thats my wife's problem she always forgets what she will do inside the room why did she go there, sometimes she will be in and out a certain room just to end up thinking what is she getting or why is she there. or sometimes she will egt something only to remember when she is out of the room already then she needs to go back again. har har har i like it when you said I hate to link it with old age, but it gets worse as time goesvon so there's probably a link. thanks a lot for the response

thanks fro telling me that i am not wierd hatley, getting old is more acceptable har har har. sometimes my wife forgets things like you do. actually for me it is not forget, its misplaced. sometimes you put a thing in a place where you are not used on putting it so you tend to think were you put it. you know you hid or put it somewhere but not on a place that you always put it. so i think that is not forgetfulness. har har har thanks a lot for the response and have a great day ahead
