Which do you prefer: glasses or contacts?

Good day myLotters,
Which do you prefer? Glasses or contacts?
For me, glasses are more convenient because all I have to do is put them on and I'm ready to go. The downside is that they are easy to lose if you don't take good care of them. They are also quite pricey to replace if you don't have insurance.
Putting on contacts takes more effort, but it's great for people who don't like the way they look on glasses. Plus, contacts come in a variety of colors so you can change up your style. However, contacts are harder to maintain and you must keep them clean otherwise they can give your eye an infection...
Let me know what you think, and happy myLotting.

I wear both of them. When at home i wear glasses ,while going out i wear contacts.I wear colored contact lens as cosmetic purpose too.I have them in two colors. But usually i wear powered contact lenses .I change them once in a year and use RENU multipurpose solution to rinse and store them. I am wearing them from almost seventeen years ,from my junior school days.I can easily wear and take them off without looking in the mirror. Yes they must be kept clean or else they will irritate your eyes and cause infection.I dont think they are hard to maintain ,it all depends upon habit .

i still have good set of eyes. i once went to on optometrist but the doctor says no need to wear. if in case, i would prefer both. most of the time, i would like eye glasses but when wearing something that would make me look od if wearing an eyeglasses, i would prefer contact lens -- with color. hehehe..

I wear both but I would prefer contact lens as it makes me more mobile especially when I'm playing games. Although it is a bit troublesome when come to the process of cleaning and disinfecting the lens, once you get used to it, it should be just a simple task. So no worries on that. Wearing contacts also make myself feel more confidence and nicer looking, minus the nerd look :)

I have contacts. I would like to have glasses because they are easier and less expensive, but I can never seem to find a pair that actually looks good on me. Some people can pull it off quite nicely, some even look better with glasses, but I am just not one of those people. Another reason why I have contacts is because they are harder to lose and break. When I was younger I had glasses and was always losing and dropping them.
You are definitely right about the eye infections. I am one of those people that are prone to eye infections so I have to be extra careful. I have gotten pink eye a couple times and it is awful. And to make things worse, I didn't have glasses any of those times and I couldn't wear my contact in the infected eye, so I could only see out of one eye for a week.
Another downside to contacts is that they can irritate your eyes by getting too dry or if you have allergies it makes it worse and other such things. But overall, I think that the pros outweigh the cons and so I stick with contacts.
Happy mylotting!

I like my glasses. they are cool, and its way easier than contacts. I've been told to wear contacts but i just can't stick my finger in my eye. its an eye thing. I guess i have seen my share pictures of people who's contacts were dirty and their eyes started getting problems. not a pretty picture. but if i do grow out of my fear one day, i shall wear blue contacts like my brother's real eyes. its so not fair that he got blue eye color genetics, when he couldn't care less for the colors of his eyes. haha.

i would much prefer to wear contacts because i feel i look better without glasses but i hate the way they feel in my eyes and i cannot stand having to put them in and take them out and the cleaning. i have too much to do to be bothered so i just put my glasses on and go.

I wear glasses, but I would prefer to wear contacts. The up-side to glasses, as you pointed out is that all I have to do with them is clean them and out them on. They do get scratched fairly easily though. Contacts, in my opinion, are a bit of a hassle, but in my case, I think that I would look much better. I did have a pair when I was younger, but they ripped and I was never able to replace them.

I have hardly used contacts. I used them for a very short time.I prefer glasses. I have had glasses for about a decade now. I have played, fought, raced and have done all sorts of thing wearing them and not one them ever got damaged. I still have all my glasses that I have used.

I have worn both, and have preferences for both for differnt reasons. Glasses are quick, esay, take no time for cleaning, putting in and taking out and storing and such, but contacts actually seem to improve my vision more. there are times when glasses are cumbersome, such as when laying in bed and reading or watching tv, but i like the stylishness factor of them as well.
I am due for another eye exam, and though i have been wearing glasses only for the past few years, i am thinking of just getting the new prescription lenses for the frames i have already, and getting a prescription for contacts, so i can hve the choice. I don't neccisarily want to wear contacts every day, but would like to have the option again.

I love my glasses. I've never really even been interested in wearing contacts...even putting in eye drops makes me feel icky so the thought of having to put something directly into my eye really puts me off.

hi myLotters. As far as i am concerned i don't have glasses or contact lenses, but what i observed from my friends is that, the person who uses the glasses do not get much of the headaches and we put away the glasses when we have to play or have a game or sport with friends. But in the case of contact lenses we have to take care of the eyes like never before because if something like water or any solid substance falls in we have to replace the lenses which takes a lot of effort and time and also frustration

Hi there, well the truth is that i dont wear any of the two choices. But if i will use one i should try glasses because its easy to use and easy to clean. Unlike having a contact lens which I think you need more extra care using it, although sometimes i am amazed with those people who have contact lens which makes their eyes beautiful but still for me glasses would be the best, keep on mylotting,

I use both contacts and glasses. Although I use glasses more, like you I feel they are more convenient and easy to use, just put them on and go. Every now and then howver, I'll wear my contacts, mostly on special outings. But all in all I prefer glasses. I'm not worried about how i look in them, as long as they help me see where I'm going, I'm happiest.
