Does anyone have any experience with selling photos online?

I've looked at a couple of sites where you can submit photos to sell, but I'm really not sure whether to try it. Has anyone ever used any of these sites? It would be good to hear which sites are recommended. My photos aren't brilliant, but they might be of interest to somebody out there.
