He visited US to attend INDEPENDENCE DAY event in CHICAGO where he was the guest of honour.he was released after Congress MP Rajiv Shukla spoke to the authorities

Should the agent(s) involved or the U.S. government be required to apologize for doing their job, a BIG resounding "NO!" Everyone who enters or leaves a port of embarkation in the U.S. is subject to a security screening; if one wishes to be exempt from this process they may apply for pre-screening, or avoid traveling here altogether. A person's job does not give them special status that precludes a traveler's security check in this country. SRK is a fairly good actor but he is not so special as to be given exceptional service when it comes to the security of our nation. And, yes, there really are people who do not know who he is nor do they care to know him after all the hoopla caused by his visit to the U.S. There is just no excuse for behaving badly due to not being recognized as a major star from another country.
