I used to travel 40 minutes a day to office and back. It is very boring just sitting and waiting for the place to get down. So, I started listening to music at that time and I liked it. I see many people with their ear phone on while traveling.
Do you prefer to listen to music while traveling?
Do you listen to FM?

music, especially in traffic or long distances, is the best. i personally listen to lectures and debates which i download from youtube. sometimes i don't even want to end the trip just by listening at these things!

It seems you are a very intellectual person. Normally people listen to music while travelling. I also want to listen to lectures, but I will also go for music. One of my colleagues listen to lectures related to work. She even has the lectures as ringtone of her mobile. Thanks for the response.

I always listen to music while traveling. It is the best thing to keep me busy while having a boring journey. I love music and I can hardly spend time without listening to music. My cell has about 100 songs and there is the FM.So between them I listen whichever song I like.

I used to travel for 1 hour 30 minutes in the morning and another 1hour 30 minutes in the evening. I used to take the local trains and it was fun to watch/overhear co-passengers activity/conversation. But i got bored as the days went by and wanted to spend my time productively. Reading a book is not possible in a moving train so i though listening to music will be good. I got a phone with FM radio feature and started updating my GK with the latest songs :)
I like to listen to music while traveling because this is the only way i can keep myself awake :)

I can not even think of travelling without music. Earlier I used to take audio cassettes before starting for any journey. I used to get audio cassettes recorded with the songs of my liking. Then I shifted to CDs and now I listen to FM radio only. When travelling long distance, FM radio switches to that local area and it is interesting to listen to different styles and sense of humor of radio announcers of that area. Not only during journey, even while working at home, my FM radio is always switched on. In the morning, when I shout at my son it is 7AM, he replies back "it will be seven only after this song."

That is a nice idea to sleep along with the music. It is a good stress breaker and give you lots of relaxation. I can't sing along with the music because I travel using public trasport. I am not a good singer and I dont' want to disturb other people with my horrible single. I would rather prefer to sing in mind. Thanks for the response.
